Although it wasnât quite what I expected it turned out to be good. Itâs very quiet and secluded, but still within an acceptable driving distance to other towns and hiking. Itâs a general cabin, nothing fancy or special. It could use some updating, but served its purpose. I recommend breakfast at The Sawmill in Blairsville, about 25-30 minutes from the cabin.
The cabin was exactly as we'd pictured it -- plenty of room for three adults and an easy walk or drive to trailheads on the Appalachian Trail. The hike from the cabin up to the AT and then to Preacher Rock was delightful (about 10 miles round trip). We appreciated the kitchen, heaters, and washing machine -- and the view of the sunset through the trees from the sun room! We heard many bird species while we were there, which was a real treat. We highly recommend the barbecue from Wildcat, and the walk to the swinging bridge over the Toccoa River was well worth it -- even in the rain! When you arrive on the lane where the cabin is, be sure to look for the mailbox with the cabin's street number on it. We missed it, and our GPS took us way up the hill!
We had an amazing time, relaxing, visiting Vineyards, sitting around the fire pit and enjoying the surrounding nature. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we wanted.
Played hell trying to get in the place. Walked into the worse mold odor, bugs flying around. Hot as hell no air conditioner. Portable fans in each room that took alnight to cool off the cabin. No phone service
Great little cabin in Suches. Watch out for the huge owl that hangs out on the property or nearby. Almost flew into my helmet when arriving & was there in the morning when leaving. Pretty cool to see! I would stay here again.
This property was perfect for my family and i while visiting the GA mountains for the first time. Quiet location and lots of space for us relax, play games, make dinner and enjoy the scenery!
We enjoyed this A frame for just one night while up visiting the wineries! It was such a short stay but we definitely will be back for longer next time! Such a cozy and lovely vibe with a wood burning stove!! Super cute and fast response time as well!
We arrived first thing we did was look for the air conditioning because it was sweltering in the cabin. We couldnât find Air conditioning I reached out to the host who said he was going to put in ac but didnât get around to it. The listing said there was air conditioning. The cabin was full of mosquitoes. We left we were only there about an hour and paid agin for another cabin in Kennedy Creek. We contacted the host again he said I had to cancel through Vrbo and heâd try and give me a partial refund. So I contacted VRBO who contacted the host but havenât heard anything about a refund yet.
