After each day-hike on the AT, (5 in all), we were able the rest our weary muscles in comfort, enjoy good home cooked meals and relax in the hot tub. It was our first hiking the Appalachian Trail and day hikes seemed to be the right way us.
The cabin is located on a steep hill but its gravel and can be driven up in a SUV, very quiet and tranquil, the beds are comfy and the view is amazing. Communication is great and cabin comes with everything you need. Will definitely stay again.
This is our 4th year at the cabin! Having 2 little boys (4.5 yrs and 2 yrs), this is the perfect space for us. It's super cozy inside and the outdoor space was large enough for our boys to explore, find wood for the fireplace, and run around!
The outdoor firepit is nice with 4 Adirondack chairs. They have a gas grill available for cooking and an old wooden picnic table with benches that fit the 4 of us perfectly. Also available is a hot tub right outside the sliding doors from what I assume is the master bedroom. Perfect for us to sneak out there without waking the boys sleeping in the other room.
They have a gas fireplace inside, doesn't give off much heat and more for ambiance. But it's a bit finicky to turn on. We didn't use it this year as our 2 yr old loves exploring, touching, and putting things in his mouth....
You have several water falls and hiking trails within 30 mins of the cabin, fishing, and a nearby store and bbq joint if you want to eat out.
Communication with Joni is quick and she's very responsive. If you want early check-in, make sure to ask and take advantage quickly if available.
All in all, definitely a nice and cozy place for a small family to enjoy!
As soon as you walk in the place smelled of mildew. There were cobwebs everywhere. Outside itâs just broken fallen trees everywhere. Itâs messy and not much to look at. I will say Joni was nice and check in was easy. But overall just disappointed.
This was the perfect cabin! The cleanest cabin I've stayed in. Location was great... communication with property manager was easy and efficient. Highly recommend staying here!
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Tall Pines Cabin, it was wonderful. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Joni was awesome and got right back to us any time we messaged her. She helped us modify our stay and add another night last minute with no issues. The cabin itself was beautiful, quiet and everything we were looking for. 5 stars on everything.
We loved our relaxing weekend in the north GA mountains while staying in this cabin. Itâs small, but perfect for the two of us. Beds have great mattresses. We slept really well. One has an adjustable frame which is perfect for reading in bed. Water pressure is fantastic! Itâs easy to find. Host recommended downloading the map to Suches due to limited cell signal. Great tip! We enjoyed scenic drives to and from Blue Ridge & Blairsville during our stay.
