« The room was absolutely lovely it had everything we needed for a family of 5. The place was clean and there were plenty of clean linens. We were able to go to the local grocer and make dinner in, instead of having to eat out. The owner was kind to contact us about a weather issue but there were no issues we could see. « It was right in the thick of things and near everything. You can hear the train horns in the distance, and it had a nice big green yard. Also had a large deck but we had rain the whole time we were there, but it will hold a lot of people and had a dining table out there. Worked great as near all the family we went to see. »

« Two night stay for wedding at nearby venue. The cottage was very new and clean. Perfect for a couple wanting to getaway or for a lake vacation. Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. »

« We stayed here over the 4th of July! It was in a great location in the heart of Effingham right above a great little speakeasy and just a couple blocks from Joe Sippers for morning coffee. It looked exactly like the pictures — a big bright, open loft in a historic building that somehow still managed to feel modern and cozy. It’s one of those places that feels like being at home even though you’re away, especially with a well appointed kitchen with all the basic utensils and supplies for cooking....

« The only instruction to pick up the key was to pick it up at the office, and if there was any trouble after hours, to call the maintenance man. I arrived at 11pm due to traffic delays, and the office was locked with no instruction on how to get the key. I made several calls and texts each to the host and the maintenance man. 30 minutes later, the host texted back saying the maintenence man was asleep, and she apologized for my inconvenience. « We enjoyed our stay the apartment Labor day weekend and it was very clean and peaceful. Loved the location went for walks around downtown. We turned AC off and opened the windows At night was in 50s and 70s during day cool breeze was so nice. Has good wifi used my PS4 they have a large new big screen smart tv that was nice to have. Laundry room was clean and nice. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will be booking it again every year. »

« I needed a place to stay for my nephew’s graduation and this place was perfect! The guestbook with all the instructions and menus was great to have for somewhere I hadn’t been in years! Would definitely recommend and stay again! »

« We stayed the weekend while visiting family on Lake Sara. We loved the downtown vibe and the property was exactly as described, more than enough space for 5 adults. Close to coffee, restaurants, bars and even a farmer’s market. We loved the special touches, the cleanliness and coziness.
