« Birthday stayover, we attended the Apex for a music event. The Fox had ample free parking, early book in, lovely walk into town via ruins gardens. Room was clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and i would recommend »

« Nice amenities and comfy bed with nice linens. Pub and dining room are downstairs so noise does travel as rooms are over the pub. Staff very friendly. Good food in the downstairs restaurant. Right in town and sidewalks for getting out and about in the small village. »

« The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent. »

« I couldn’t have wished for anything better! A spontaneous stay while I attended a course at the Curwen Print Study Centre near by (which is also excellent). The room was large yet super cosy, beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Lots of soft cushions, blankets and fluffy rugs. Everything was clean and tidy, and warm which was very much appreciated. The pub was so welcoming - staff and punters! And the food was home cooked, plentiful and very tasty. Definitely recommend the food 😀 »

« Really good hotel which is on the other side of the car park to the pub. Very modern looking building. Rooms were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Found it really quiet during the night. Pub is handy. It is a good 25 minute walk from the town centre. »
