This was my fourth year in a row staying at this property (twice at this unit and twice at the neighboring unit). Unfortunately, this year was the first time I left disappointed.In the past, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. The units were always clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and communication with the owners or managers was quick and helpful. Even as recently as 2024, everything was in great condition, which is why I felt confident returning again. This stay, however, was very different. The flooring was coming up in several areas, the railing was broken outside, and the air conditioning did not function properly. It seemed to be on a schedule and wouldn’t cool for long periods of time below 70 degrees at night, making the unit uncomfortably warm and difficult to sleep in. Reliable A/C should be a given at the beach. Communication also felt slower than in the past. Before arriving, I sent a question in the late morning and didn’t receive a reply until mid-afternoon. It wasn’t an emergency, but in prior years responses were much quicker, which made the property feel more personally cared for. The property seems to have declined in just one year, possibly due to changes in ownership or management. It no longer feels as well-maintained or responsive as it once did, which is disappointing after three excellent stays. The location itself is still good, and this place could be enjoyable again if management invests in repairs and improves communication.
