Mold smell permeated the entire unit

The major issue here is that from the moment we stepped into this unit, the smell of mold is overwhelming. There was visible black mold in the kitchen pantry/closet and obviously there has been water damage issues in the kitchen and bathroom at minimum. There were 3 deodorizers in the unit, so obviously the owner knows it is an issue, but they were not strong enough to even mask the issue. We started coughing on day 2 and thought about leaving early but instead opted to just sleep there and not spend any more time than we had to. Second issue, cleanliness - there were some hairs (not ours) and a bug leg on the bathroom floor. The location is wonderful - walking distance to everything in Hyde Park. If they can fix up the unit it would be a great rental, but with the mold issues there is no way I can recommend anyone stay here.

Tampa / NO PARKING

Nice place all new construction there is some things that need handled. - The door code had me locked out twice- AC kept switching to heat mode when adjusting the temp- Laundry room was not working / installed properly- Was not what i was expecting to stay for a week while working in that type of area.

Great location, but...

The bedding;, sheets, blanket and pillow cases, pillows, and towels were not clean. They smelled and looked dirty. They smelled like a dog was there. I tried communicating with the person through vrbo and never got any responses.

Convenient, clean & easy

Based on previous rental experiences, we expected to be provided with wash cloths, but only had towels and 1 hand towel, so we purchased washcloths. Overall, this was an awesome rental experience! The property looks just as pictured. My issues are the parking is down the street, if you park in the lot next to the building you will be towed. My unit was on the second floor and there is no elevator. I did not have control of the thermostat and im going through hot flashes and I was miserable. Tried using the ceiling fan but there were no batteries in the remote and no strings to pull manually. All in all I would stay again if im doing business in that area.

Great Location and That's About It

Host did not reply to messages before, leaving me wondering if I was actually going to be able to get access) and after check-in. I had to call VRBO and had them contact the host. Strong musty odor. Floor and bath tub not clean, dirty glass and fork left in dishwasher. No sponge or dish cloth, no dish towels (I bought them so I could wash dishes), no dishwasher detergent, no pot holders/oven mitts, one (empty) ice tray in freezer, wrong size coffee filters (I bought the correct size) only three (mismatched) clothes hangers. These are really simple things that, if a little more attention to detail were paid, this would have been a much better experience. The location is excellent and for that reason alone, I might stay here again.

Disappointed

Upon arrival we let the contact know there was something beeping every 90 seconds in the unit. The deadbolt on the door was also not working. None of our messages were responded to. Luckily we were in Tampa to visit family for Christmas so we spent minimal time in the unit. Bring extra blankets and/or a heater. It is cold at night and there is no control for the temperature. Parking is on the street - this should be included in the description. The location is nice but for multiple nights I would recommend finding a different option.
