I booked in January for June. On my way to the property the property manager canceled my reservation 4 hours before my check in. Said that the roof caved in in one of the rooms. I see that the same excuse was used on a family last year in the same timely manner.There was a major concert event in the area that we were going there for and finding another place to stay at the last minute was a difficult task and required us finding transportation to the event because there was no place walking distance like this property was. VRBO did refund me but this property needs to be removed from their listing as it seems that this is a reoccurring problem with them.
Not the greatest stay. We got there and one of our guests tried washing a shirt in the washer, and a putrid smell started up in the kitchen and seeped into the living room. The kitchen sink clogged as well which may have been the source of the smell. We unclogged it with a plunger and some bugs and debris came out. Was trying to fan out the kitchen and the door handle comes right off the door. A/c wasnât the best, but all single room units. Also hard to reach the host, as they didnât respond to any of my messages. Probably wouldnât stay again, but it did the job for the night.
Booked house for a trip to Tampa for my family. Prior to our trip I reached out to host for a question. There was no response. Called host numbers. One number had full voice mail, the other I was able to leave a message. No response. Called VRBO with concerns about the non responsive host, they too reached out to host and left a messages. After a few days , again reached out to VRBO as we were concerned with no response from the host, would we even have a place to stay. After about a week the host messaged us that our reservation was good and everything was fine. This contact from the host was a few days before scheduled arrival. Check in was set for 4pm. At 3:46pm, 15 minutes from arriving at the property, the host calls and tells me that the ceilings in multiple rooms are falling down due to water damage from the rain and he was cancelling our stay. He stated he was on hold with VRBO to process our refund. (That was three days ago). I too called VRBO that day. VRBO reached out to the host for our refund and the host wanted US to cancel the reservation on the app and they would process the refund. I asked VRBO why they wanted me to cancel the reservation when the host was the one who cancelled it. The host didnt want to ruin their VRBO rating and if they cancelled the reservation on their end it would have. Obviously this host still hasnât canceled our reservation and processed our refund or I wouldnât been able to review. Never experienced this on VRBO before
I came with my family to Tampa for the weekend for 2 days I really liked the city this home is close to everything Raymond James stadium ,international plaza Mall, and 1 minute from the airport absolutely stunning location !!!
and the host was very nice I will definitely come back again!
