Nichée sur une "arête" de Blueberry Hill avec une vue incomparable à 360 degrés, la Casa de Legado est un sanctuaire privé serein, située au centre de Taos Village et de Taos Ski Valley. Vous pourrez profiter de la facilité de se rendre et de tous les coins d'activités et de sites Taos avec très peu de circulation.

Autrefois la maison d'un artiste Taos bien connu, la Casa de Legado regorge de charme sud-ouest et l'ambiance. Profitez de la riche expérience de romantiques arches adobe, Saltillo carrelage, deux foyers au bois ouvré Kiva de main traditionnelle et authentique plafonds Viga partout.

Centrale dans le plan d'étage est le salon en contrebas avec télévision par satellite à grand écran plat et conçu sur mesure, cheminée à bois Kiva fabriqués à la main. Toutes les chambres se ramifient à partir de là, y compris la grande et grandiose "bonus" salle de soleil avec cheminée en bedaine en fonte et 3 étage aux murs de fenêtres de plafond créant une grandeur lumineux et édifiante. La salle de soleil, meublée avec un grand canapé confortable, table ronde et des chaises pour manger, des jeux, des ordinateurs et le café du matin, offre une vue grandiose avec toutes les activités.

En plus des deux espaces de vie et 360 vues panoramiques sur la montagne, est l'équipement supplémentaire d'une terrasse avec vue. Le pont surplombe un grand bain à remous pour "étoilées, les nuits étoilées", comme la plupart des gens ont jamais vu, ajoutant ainsi une expérience visuelle la plus rare et de détente. Le "chiminea" traditionnelle (sud-ouest de cheminée en pot d'argile) ajoute de la chaleur du soir et l'ambiance. Oui! Taos a vraiment soirées d'air de la montagne délicieusement fraîches tout au long de l'été, le tout pour le plaisir des invités.

Le haut de gamme cuisine / salle à manger entièrement meublé offre des vues à travers le salon en contrebas de la cheminée Kiva pour manger ajouté ambiance. Un patio fermé avec barbecue à gaz est adjacent au coin repas.

Les deux chambres jouissent d'une barrière sonore double avec deux dos à dos salles de bains situé entre eux.

Taos is beautiful and this home fits in so well with the natural outdoor beauty of the area. Being in the sunroom is like being in a painting. The home is comfortable and lovely. The host was helpful and communicative. We couldn’t have asked for more and will be back.

A great location for sure! The views of the mountains in a couple directions were special and downtown was an easy 15 min. drive. The house was spacious and very well decorated with art. Please note this is only a 2 BR house. My only negative - provide some space to put away clothes in a dresser. Overall my daughter and I loved our stay.

Sweet place to stay near Taos

Nice home, close to Taos, we'll furnished and spacious. Dark skies made it possible to see the Milky Way from the hot tub. Highly recommend!

The property itself, could benefit from some tlc (especially indoors), it’s clear that overall upkeep of this home isn’t a priority. Overall it was clean, some cobwebs and you’re out in a rural area, to be expected. Unfortunately, it was unseasonably hotter than usual, thankful there was a portable cooler that helped regulate the living spaces. Opening up the house in the morning helped a lot, except several windows don’t have screens, so that made it tricky. It was comfortable to sleep at night.The contact person was wonderful and super communicative. And we would recommend with a strong maybe yes.

Semi secluded relaxing property

This house was much nicer in person than in the pics. I was worried that since you can have animals in this property it might not be pleasant smelling however it was great. The only thing i wished it had was an enclosed fence. I forgot my dogs lead so she was confined to the patio or me walking her on a leash. If you can not relax here than you can not relax anywhere!

Great house but why is the only security camera pointed right at the hot tub?

First time we were in the hot tub was at night so did not notice until the next morning that there is a webcam pointed directly at the hot tub. That is the only web camera on the exterior of the property so it felt creepy. It would’ve been less so if it was disclosed beforehand. I like to give the benefit of the doubt that the owners simply have concerns about people damaging or misusing the tub. But not disclosing makes it unethical in my opinion. We’ve stayed at other short term rentals in the area that everything except the hot tub had cameras and those cameras were fully disclosed from the beginning.

Renters Beware Hidden Camera Looking at “Private” Hot Tub

Over all the house is nice and clean, but on our second day we discovered a hidden camera that is not disclosed to renters looking at the “Private” Hot Tub. After contacting the caretaker and informing them of VRBO policy of disclosing cameras facing hot tubs we were told it was for the house security but it had also been turned off since we arrived!!!! Ya right I informed them that the hidden camera is creepy and felt like a pervert is watching the hot tub. Mind you that the camera isn’t facing the outdoor shed or patio that had no lights working on it. It is just facing the hot tub. The ad doesn’t disclose the camera and none of the paperwork in the house disclosed the camera Facing the so called Private HOT Tub!!!! We did file a complaint with VRBO with pictures. We felt like if the perverts would want to watch a hot tub what else are they watching with cameras!!! Renters Beware!!!!!

The kitchen was well appointed. We prepared several meals and everything you need for basic cooking is provided. The living room was comfortable and cozy, especially while watching the snow fall in the courtyard. The family room area was perfect for playing cards and gazing at the snow. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were perfect for the stay. The only thing I was not fond of was the number of steps in the house. Down 2 steps to the living room from the front door. Up 2 steps to the kitchen. Up one step to the family room. Down 1 step to the bedrooms. Not my taste, but didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the property.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our dog to celebrate our anniversary. The house was beautiful. Very nice touches throughout the house, the decor was great. Neighborhood is quiet and very accessible. About a 10 to 15 min drive to town. Hot tub was splendid. This is a big space and can fit a lot of people. WiFi worked great and the TV was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay but did notice a few areas of improvement. We weren't provided with any lighters or firestarters to use the fireplace. The listing mentioned a closed in patio but it looks like the gates have been removed. The caretaker advised us that there was a baby gate on site but we weren't able to find it. We were told to use chairs to block off the patio. It snowed while we were here and a few leaks popped up. The caretaker was disappointed to hear this as the roof was recently fixed. It was just one leak at first over the fireplace but then a few more started in the sun room. Nothing serious, but had we spent more time at the house the dripping sound would have been more of an issue. We were also disappointed in the toiletries. For the price per night we expected a bit more than dollar store products. The closet in the master smelled really weird so we couldn't unpack our clothes. The sun room was cold and the space heater never stopped smelling. The rest of the house was warm. A few things needed upkeep here and there but still an enjoyable stay!

Nice property, with problems

My wife and I were looking forward to a relaxing three week vacation to Taos to celebrate our anniversary. After a few days we noticed a dead animal like smell coming from the master bathroom, soon to morph into a raw sewage smell. It was horrible enough that we had to seal off the master bedroom from the rest of the house and spent the rest of our time in the smaller second bedroom. The initial problem was addressed by replacing the toilet seal and servicing the septic system, but the smell still continued. I'm not sure what, if any, service was performed after we left. The house itself has a nice layout and is comfortable for the most part but it has several problems. When we first arrived we noticed that the "sun room" was extremely warm, heating the whole house to an uncomfortable degree. We notified Terra, the caretaker. She was a great help throughout. She got us some curtains for the sun room windows (there were none there) and that helped a little with the heat. We tried to open the windows in the room but several of them did not work. This would be a great room in the winter, but as mentioned in an earlier review, it was much too warm in the summer. The room now has a day bed, that is not shown in the listing, that makes it feel a little cramped. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials (contrary to an earlier review) but there is very little pantry space and the condensation from the ice maker fills the refrigerator with water. We enjoyed the two outdoor areas but the deck by the hot tub did not have the dining table as pictured in the listing. In addition neither of the large outdoor table umbrellas were functional. We feel that this could be a nice property but not until the maintenance problems have been addressed.

We unfortunately had to change houses, and Terra managed to arraign the transfer in MINUTES! The new house was adorable. She made the transition seamless and comfortable. I can't say enough about her and Premier Properties. Any time you are in Taos, make your arraignments through her.you won't regret it. Thanks again Terra for making our stay so wonderful

For instance, the beautiful gates shown in the property photos--front gate is completely missing and "sunrise gate" to a side patio is barely hanging by a single screw. One of the floor to ceiling sunroom windows was well ajar on our arrival and could not be closed with the crank mechanism. That was because the lever to open and close the window was not attached to the window frame. I was able to manually close it from the outside and noted significant rot in all of the sunroom window frames. The beautiful outdoor paths shown in the photos are totally overgrown and in need of serious weeding/clean-up. Shower head in the second bath has been repaired with a combination of plastic wrap and strapping tape; it works, but not a good look. As noted by a prior reviewer, the curtains in the sunroom are in need of some major hemming to eliminate the current unkempt appearance. I have the impression the stove in the sunroom is intended for decoration only; the couch and daybed (daybed not pictured in property description) are far too close to the stove to consider lighting a fire. Nice furnishings and amenities throughout, but some of these current "minor" issues need to be addressed pronto or this property is going to rapidly decline. That would be a shame because it has a lot to offer; it's a good property with the opportunity to be great (a true "Premiere Property") with some much-needed care.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Except for a couple of minor issues, which did not warrant any attention during our stay, this was our favorite location of any of our many, many trips to Taos. The house had everything we needed, was nicely decorated and beautifully located. The mattress on the bed in the master was obviously old, was kind of creaky and not very supportive. The curtains in the sunroom are a bit haphazard and are not up to the decorative standards of the rest of the house, and one of the electrical outlets in the kitchen stopped working, but we were able to work around it. But none of these things affected our very pleasant stay, and we look forward to coming back one day.
