"Positiv: netter Empfang, stumpfes Messer wurde getauscht, Appartement wurde auf Anforderung mit Geruchsspray bearbeitet. Direkter Seeblick. Negativ: Meist instabiles Internet, Fußböden und Möbel in schlechtem Zustand. Muffig modriger Geruch in allen Räumen des App.707. Sehr hellhörig zum Nachbarn und das ganze Gebäude knackt durch ständige Dehnungen. Geruhsamer Nachtschlaf, Fehlanzeige. 4 Sterne sind vermessen, kein Stern ist richtig. Preis viel zu hoch, erzielbar durch geschönte Bilder. Kleine Pentry ohne Fenster zum öffnen. Alte Klappfenster ohne Gaze, nachts unbedingt schließen, Moskitos. Klimaanlage nur im Wohnzimmer. Eingangstür klemmt und lässt sich nur mit einem Tritt in die untere Ecke öffnen. Ähnliches berichten viele Kommentatoren und Personal und Besitzer wissen es seit Jahren, und verbessern nichts. Ein trauriges Kapitel neuseeländischer Gastronomie, was wir leider in sehr vielen Accomodation finden. Nicht empfehlenswert, dringend modernisieren wäre eine Lösung. "

"Die Zimmer waren von der Einrichtung sehr alt und abgenutzt. Durch die hohen Decken wirkt der Raum aber trotzdem ganz nett. Der Innenhof lädt zum Sitzen und Abendessen ein und ist gut belebt ohne laut zu sein. Es gab eine doppelte Herdplatte, eine Spüle, eine Mikrowelle und einen Kühlschrank sowie eine Grundausstattung an Geschirr und Salz/Pfeffer und Spüli, auch hier aber alles etwas älter (trotzdem funktional). Die Waschmaschine und der Trockner waren sehr in die Jahre gekommen, haben aber funktioniert. Alles in allem durch die Nähe zum Tongariro Nationalpark und mit Supermarkt direkt nebenan eine Unterkunft in der man sich gut aufhalten kann, wenn man nicht zu viel erwartet. "

"We loved the place! Top level room with wonderful view of lake Taupo. Spacious, modern with big balcony where you can see the sunset. Very quiet. Nice garden area and spa pool with natural thermal water and very close to the lakefront."

"Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel, given the poor value for money. At NZD 477 per night, I expected much more in terms of both quality and service. The breakfast was extremely limited, offering only a basic continental set, along with scrambled eggs, beans, and sausages. There was no real bread, just toast, and no vegan milk options, which felt quite outdated. Instead, they charged NZD 7 extra for a coffee with oat milk to accompany your breakfast… The facilities were disappointing, especially the pool, which was both outdated and not particularly clean. Another challenge was that you had to carry your bags up the stairs to the lobby, over uneven floors, and across high door sills, which was an inconvenience. We also had dinner in their indoor restaurant, and there were ants crawling under the table and on our feet. It was clear they hadn’t vacuumed the floor, and food debris was left sitting around. The only redeeming feature was the lake view and direct access to the water, which was lovely. It wasn’t enough however to make up for the overall disappointment. For half the price, our stay at Pullman in Auckland was far superior, with much better quality and service. Millennium hotel definitely didn’t live up to its price tag."
