Our hosts, Mark and Patti have a beautiful place and communicating with them is a breeze. They get the award for the best and most thoughtful stocked place we’ve ever stayed in. All that is necessary to make and serve big meals (apart from the food itself - :-)) is there. All was clean. Nice linens throughout. The peacefulness and quiet is otherworldly. Great kayaks. Love the bunk house with its own complete setup which was perfect for having grown children and their families or if you had friends visit. I appreciated the view of the pier from the kitchen. It’s a good sized yard without being too far between house and water. It let me watch my family crab while I cooked. In a little over a week we caught over 2 and half bushels of crabs with baited traps and chicken necks on weighted strings and steamed them 4 times! And the pier is great - wide and long enough with lights and seating- perfect with several people out there at one time. A favorite restaurant Boats & Hose is within 5 minutes and we had the extra treat of timing our visit with the Chesapeake Cowboys, extreme boat docking competition, five minutes away as well!
