« The cottage rooms are very tired with broken bathroom fittings and outdated sanitary ware. The bedroom needs a good clean and updating the carpets and furnishings. There are never enough staff to provide a timely dining or breakfast experience. The staff are very pleasant but the limited staffing makes a responsive service impossible. Investment required before customers start to go elsewhere. »

« Great communication as a self check in with a lock box, plenty of private parking next to the accommodation. Carlton Towers has a tea room within walking distance which was convenient. Room was big with everything we needed for 2 nights. Would recommend and stay again if back in the area. »

« Standard of Hotel is high and loved communal Lounge and kitchen but did miss having personal contact as no reception. Had booked a Standard double with a Court yard view to find there was no such view as window had opaque glass also very disappointed to find window sealed so unable to have any fresh air into room so no natural ventilation .A fan is provided but not the same. Would stay again but only if a room with natural ventilation was available. I do believe this should be made clear in...

« Just stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in York for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location, very near the centre of York, easy walking distance to the shops. The hotel exceed my expectations in all areas, the staff were very helpful, polite kind and courteous throughout the stay. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus with a wide choice of items to choose from. I would definitely recommend this Hotel, and this will be my go to Hotel for all my future stays in York. »
