Convenient location on a nice quiet street "between the sixes" and a short golf cart ride to Sumter Landing, Brownwood and two larger recreation centers. The property was clean with comfortable furniture and a new grill. The one request we had was handled quickly by the very nice property management team. We hope to return in the future.

Great Rental in Heart of the Villages

We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. Comfortable furniture and beds, plus TV's in both bedrooms. We loved having a bbq grill and a golf cart which we used often. A great location close to golf, shopping and entertainment. I would recommend this home to others!

We lived in the villages for 12 years and moved 2.5 years ago. Coming back and meeting up with our villages friends was great.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House seemed nice from the photos. Seemed clean when we arrived, but then we noticed black mold in the shower. UGH! The king bed was hard and awful. No sleep here. And the frame creaks. Washing machine was old and noisy. Living room furniture was not comfortable. The cable and internet was awesome. Lots of channels and 400mbps. At least one thing was OK. We paid for a month but left after 10 days.

We loved this property!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I rented this property for the month of Jan. 2024. We loved the location – 10 min. drive to both Brownwood and Sumter Landing Squares. An easy walk to Havana Country Club, which has a nice restaurant and bar. The 4 person golf car was fun to use. The neighborhood pool, shuffleboard courts and bocce are within walking distance as well. The home was clean, and the master bedroom was quite spacious with large walk-in closet and TV. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, with a TV and closet. Nice screened in mini lanai, and several outdoor seating areas with a grill. Large kitchen area with vintage “ice cream parlor seats and table”. Plenty of dishware, cooking utensils and glassware. We liked the high top round table that seated 4 in the living room area. Garage was spacious enough for our SUV as well as our 2 bikes and the golf car. We have booked the home again for next Jan., 2025. Down Home Properties is GREAT to work with!

Great Place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the smallest place we’ve stayed at since coming to the villages as we were having no guests this year. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the kitchen was and how it had everything I needed and plenty of dishes. I enjoy cooking so used lots of different utensils. Everything was well cleaned and in working order. Our only issue was the small driveway. Our pickup made it so you couldn’t get the golf cart out of the garage without backing up the truck. You couldn’t park the truck on the street so when you got back you had to get out and back up the truck to get in the cart back in the garage. The pickup was too long to fit in the garage. Would not be an issue with a smaller car and really wasn’t that big of an issue for us. Would highly recommend this rental.

Our Stay at Margaux Trail

Overall this property was excellent, but having been a previous rental owner at The Villages - I am noting a couple of issues that I believe will help with renters. There is no mirror at all in the second guest room, the unit states it is for 4 people, and we had two people use the guest room for 5 nights - the only mirror they could use was the bathroom mirror, which complicated things when we all tried to get ready to go out. Also, a 4-slice toaster would be helpful, they don't cost much and even though there is a toaster oven, it is not the same when you are preparing breakfast for everyone. Other than that, the villa was adorably decorated and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

We received many compliments on the golf cart and it seemed new. Our only complaint...we were not happy with the mattresses. They were clean but too thin and creekey (like before thicker pillow tops)
