With no idea where to stay in Tokyo, we loved our 7 days at dots.tokyo for its location, style, and value.
It is compact, yet thoughtful in modern design with good use of space. The mezzanine bed gave us a small living area which many hotels don't offer. We elected to get two rooms for our family of four and that worked really well.
The Taito area is quaint and has lots of character, so strolling the streets is lovely - there's many great restaurants and a Family Mart just down the road. Walking to shops or the train was easy, yet we felt a little out of the bustle which was nice.
The reception had long open hours, and lovely friendly staff there to help if you needed.
Things to note - Japanese tend to sleep on hard mattresses and pillows, so this took a bit of getting used to. Otherwise, no complaints.
