Nice Hotel close to Bath

Very nice stay. Family room was very large and clean. Good restaurant and pub within a two minutes walk from the Hotel. Host gave excellent recommendation for Bath. Hotel is located in a very nice Countryside. Very quiet. Now traffic noise at all. Typical english breakfast. You define what you want to have the evening before and at what time and have freshly cooked breakfast the next morning. I would book this location again when I am in the region.

Tired but comfortable property

The lady who runs this is delightful. The property is fairly comfortable but it is an old property and it seems to be a residential property with a few rooms to rent. The room was advertised as full breakfast, the owner said this was wrong but as I had booked it with breakfast, she produced a lovely selection of fruit, cereals, bread and croissants and juice which was what I really wanted. She provides lots of material on the locality. The local village is lovely with a nice very inexpensive pub for evening meals.

Lovely property & a good base for travelling

Lovely spacious room in a character property. Good breakfast choice and excellent pub that serves food close by, (with the bonus of 10% discount for staying at Trimnells). Really good base for access to other areas for leisure or business, (including Bath).

Lovely place to stay, with gluten free no problem

Lovely airy room overlooking the garden. Freshly cooked breakfast and happy to do a gluten free option. Stayed here before going into Bath and it was an easy journey into the city. Would definitely recommend

Amazing place in a convenient location

We only stayed for one night but we loved the place. The staff is very friendly and helpful with tips of the surroundings. The facilities are superb, very well kept and perfectly clean. You can choose what do you want for breakfast (from a list) and they will have it ready for you when you go down the dining room. The town of Colerne is a beautiful place, very picturesque and conveniently close to Bath. Staff told us about a boat that departs from near Bathampton and takes you all the way to Bath on the Avon river which is a magnificent way to do it that also safes you the hassle of finding parking in Bath. We loved this place and definitely will stay longer in the future.

A really pleasant stayover

Comfortable bed in a spacious room and plenty of hot water in the shower. My two biggest priorities sorted. Breakfast ingredients were really fresh and well cooked. Another big tick. It is situated in a quiet and quaint village very near the pub (i.e. close enough to walk, far enough to avoid being bothered by disturbance). Spend a couple of hours in the garden just enjoying the solitude. Great.

Hosts are lovely and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Be careful with the roads there- Satnavs like taking you down the really narrow tracks around the place

lovely spot in a quiet location

lovely spot in a quiet location off the beaten track. Good breakfast - the usual English breakfast. WOverall a great spot for an overnight. Can get here easily with your own car- on very narrow lanes.

One night stay (couple)

we stayed for one night, our hosts made us feel very welcome. Our room was fantastic extremely clean and nice and warm. Breakfast (full english) certainly set us up for the day. We had our evening meal in the pub in the village, great pub food at great pub prices (very reasonable). We will certainly be staying here again. Many thanks for making us feel very comfortable. Lovely Village Setting

The house was located in substantial gardens which provided lovely views and a quiet setting for our stay. Our room was very bright and airy, very comfortable and immaculately clean. We did think that some of the communal areas were a bit tired though but it didn't affect our overall enjoyment. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful in terms of providing an early breakfast and information about the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the area.
