Skip the breakfast. The beachfront cafés along Barra offer far superior quality at half the price. The hotel’s breakfast room resembles a ferry cafeteria – relentlessly noisy and packed with screaming young children. Not the atmosphere one expects when paying premium rates. Unfortunately, this reflects the broader reality of Barra: large convention hotels designed for mass tourism and corporate events. The Windsor fits squarely in this category – efficient processing of guests with minimal attention to individual service. If you’re attending a conference or need beachfront access, it serves its purpose. If you’re seeking genuine hospitality, look elsewhere in Rio.
