« Accueil très chaleureux par la patronne. HOTEL familial perdu au fond d’une vallée. Style ancien mais très propre, pratique fonctionnelle, fonctionnel, grandes chambres. HOTEL à 1000  mètres d altitude. Repas possible sur place, dernière commande à 19h30, carte limitée mais correcte à prix suisses par contre….petit déjeuner correct avec Ovomaltine et surtout machine à café Jura topissime. On recommande, bon rapport qualité prix en Suisse. »

« The staff at the front desk were terribly Friendly- MS REBECCA, KUSEY (hope I got it right) and the very lovely GM of the hotel. She offered my husband the local beer which was a very kind gesture. We were surprised at the respectfulness, friendliness and everything that you can ask from a front desk staff. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious. My husband enjoyed the bacon. »

« The most uncomfortable accommodations but inexpensive Appenzell you can’t be picky if you’re on a budget. The room, including the en suite bathroom is no bigger than a standard American bathroom, airless, windowless, and claustrophobic. We did not sleep, no air quality controls.
