Honeybee Cottage Valentia is a detached holiday home located in the peaceful rural setting of Ballyhearney West on Valentia Island, Co. Kerry. Surrounded by rolling hills and fields, and with sea views from the garden, this charming cottage is just a short walk from the village of Chapeltown and 700m from the rocky shoreline.



Ideally situated for those wishing to explore the Skellig Ring and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, this lovely cottage offers a comfortable base for couples, friends or a small family.

Pet-friendly holiday home

Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at Honeybee Cottage. A cleaning fee of €20 per dog applies and must be paid on site. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or in bedrooms.

Honeybee Cottage offers views of the sea, surrounding hills and fields, and is located in the heart of Valentia Island just a short walk from Chapeltown village.

- Visit the Skellig Experience and take a boat trip around Skellig Michael

- Explore Valentia Lighthouse, the Transatlantic Cable Station Museum and the Valentia Heritage Centre

- Enjoy local walking routes and coastal scenery

- Relax at Glanleam Beach or stroll along the rocky shoreline nearby

- Spend the day in Knightstown browsing shops and cafés

- Visit Crackow Park & Playground and the nearby Chocolate Factory

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Heating and Electricity:

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.



2. Security Deposit:

A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
