Extremely disappointing experience.
Wonderful Italy presents this property like a hotel, but it felt much more like renting a room in an Airbnb — without the comfort or service of either.
Check-in was extremely rigid; they would not allow us in even slightly early. The biggest problem, however, was the HEAT. The entire house was extremely hot, and the tiny AC unit in our room was completely inadequate. We spent 3 nights unable to properly sleep or rest. When I asked for help, I was simply told the AC was “functioning” and even reminded that I had rented “the room, not the house.” Very dismissive response to a legitimate problem.
We also found stink bugs in our room. The bed was hard as a rock, there was no housekeeping, and we were given only a very thin towel plus one small towel. The shower has no proper door/enclosure, so the bathroom floor gets soaked.The listing photos also gave us the impression of water views, but our room had none.
There is no support after 11 PM, and guests are even expected to take out their own trash. We were told to follow instructions online, but the instructions weren’t there — I had to send them a screenshot showing this. After 3 nights of heat, poor sleep, bugs, inadequate amenities and dismissive customer service, I would absolutely not stay here again.
