The hotel looks nice from the outside and is in a convenient place. Free parking was great, especially coming from Reykjavik.
Staff was super friendly and was actively proposing to wake us for auroras.
Unfortunately, we had one of the „older“ rooms in the building. They were not as pretty, which is okay, but the window was directly facing the entrance, people were smoking in front of the window. We had to keep the curtains closed, but lightning was too dark. On top of that, you could hear everything in the rooms next to us. People talking, laughing, showering, sleeping. It was a little bit draining on our energy and sleep.
Breakfast was nice, had everything needed and the breakfast room was pretty.
Would book again, but only if I was guaranteed a more soundproof room on a floor that’s not on the ground level. Since we only came for 1 night, it was bearable.
