« This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. « Comfortable and ok, but the main bedroom had a damp smell on arrival and we bought scented candles to improve. No local or welcome information on arrival other than on the web site. Good heating. Cosy. Dog friendly. Garden a bit overgrown. Characterful but dark and no outward views or outlook. On a busy road, itself not a problem so long as dog on lead outside front door but the access on the busy corner is pretty hairy and easily missed when arriving first time! Satisfactory but wouldn't go...

« We had a four night stay at Grisedale pike. We found the accommodation to be warm, comfortable, spacious and welcoming with a Christmas tree and lights in the living room. The location is good, close to shops and lovely place to eat. The welcome box for us and a separate welcome box for our dog was appreciated. I would definitely book Grisedale pike again in the future. »
