„Its a very good hotel with a fantastic onsen a great view and in the near of the shinotaka ropeway. They gave us free bycicles to go there. The only thing I didn't check properly was to book breakfast and dinner. In the middle of nowhere it is impossible to buy food out of season. So we had to order breakfast and dinner which cost the same as two nights in this hotel. Maybe it was a little naive but I whished that expedia or the hotel would inform us about the missing of a supermarket or ...

„We stayed at this ryokan for 3 nights and we loved it there! It is family driven and has such a lovely and local feeling. Our room was big, authentic and had a really nice onsen. We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. Everything tasted amazing and we loved that the ingredients was local and in season. We also got help for activities. “

„Großzügige Zimmer (allerdings länger nicht mehr renoviert), sehr schöner Onsen. Sehr freundliche Rezeption, allerdings ist der Service etwas unflexibel. Es wird eine kleine Barkaution verlangt, die man beim Auschecken leicht vergisst - am besten für die Kaution eine Quittung geben lassen!“

„Okuhida Hot Spring Hirayukan is conveniently located, just a short and easy walk from the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal. A small shop beside the ryokan sells snacks and drinks, which is useful especially in the quieter evenings. Check in was smooth and the ryokan already had our Expedia reservations. As with most Japanese ryokan, copies of our passports were taken. We stayed in the Japanese Style Room, Sengakuso, Non Smoking (35 sqm). „Es klingt übertrieben, aber es war tatsächlich das beste Hotel, in dem ich jemals war. Die Aufmerksamkeit der Gastgeber (familiengeführt) toppt selbst für japanische Verhältnisse alles. Warum man unbedingt Italienisch in Japan essen sollte? Weil der Koch 10 Jahre in Italien gelernt und die Perfektion auf die Spitze getrieben hat! Und wir haben schon in ein paar sehr guten Küchen gegessen. Selbst das verdammte Frühstück, war das Beste, das ich jemals hatte! :)“
