Ruhe direkt am Strand

Das Haus war angeblich ziemlich neu, hatte aber unter der Meeresluft schon sehr gelitten. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Panoramablick aufs Meer, konnte aber kaum etwas davon sehen, weil die Scheiben voll Salz und Sand waren.

Wasn't happy that renovations were done whilst we were there and 7am in the first morning we arrived they were fixing the roof in our bungalore

周囲の環境

１５分程度北へ行くとＰＨＵＯＣ　ＨＡＩの町があり、食事、買い物が出来ます（英語はやや通じにくそうです）。また、リゾートの前には市バス（1号系統）が走っており、近隣の町に行くことが出来ます（但し、４０～1時間に１本程度しかなく、あまり便利ではありません）。

Nice Hotel, but not good enough to recommend

Like many of the other reviews, the hotel is very far away from Vung Tau. (Its a 40 minute taxi ride, for 500,000 VND, or $25 US) However, that being said, it is a nice hotel with a great pool and a view of the sea. Just a shame that the sea water there is not that clean. Room was very nice, but the hotel overall is a little run down (It must have been really nice when it opened.). The English spoken by the staff is very limited, but not impossible to get help, as they do try. The food at the restaurant and room service is varied. The western food, such as pasta and pizza, is atrocious, but the Asian food is fine. The Pho in particular was very good. Cocktails are also terribly made, so sticking to the beer or wine is recommended. Overall it is a nice place, but not worth the price tag, and food is not expensive for US standards, but it is steep for Vietnam.

Good stay, very peaceful

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I recommend staying here during the week, as it was wonderful to not have crowds. I suggest going up the street to the fishing village. Be patient, this area doesn't seem to get many non-Vietnamese. If you are looking for a developed resort I don't recommend going here as it is a nice hotel, but the area around doesn't have a lot of attractions. Transportation is very limited. It is mostly a place to unwind, read a book or play in the pool.

Tropicana Beach Resort&Spa kaukana kaikesta

Emme suosittele kenellekään! Lähin kaupunki Vung Tau sijaitsee n.30km päässä. Lähempää löytyy pari ränsistynyttä kylää, mutta hotellin lähistöillä ei ole ravintoloita eikä nähtävyyksiä. Tämä paikka on selkeästi nähnyt parhaat päivänsä ja paikan autio ja kolkko ilmapiiri on masentava, jopa pelottava. Läheinen ranta on roskainen ja rannalla kävellessä voi törmätä sekä kuolleisiin kaloihin, että kuolleisiin rottiin. Henkilökunnan kanssa on erittäin vaikeaa kommunikoida englanniksi. Meille tarjotussa huoneessa oli huomattavia kosteusvaurioita, lamput eivät toimineet, eikä parvekkeen ovea saanut lukkoon. Ulko-ovessa oli normaali lukko ja lisäksi turva salpa. Salpa oli kuitenkin rikki. Hotellin ravintolan ja palveluiden hinnat ovat korkeat maan yleiseen hintatasoon nähden. Hotellista ei pääse lähimmän kylän (Long Hai) bussiasemalle, muulla kuin hotellin omalla maksullisella kuljetuksella. Koska taxit eivät kuulemma kulje niin kaukaisiin kohteisiin. Uima-allas oli mukava, mutta muuta positiivista sanottavaa tästä kohteesta ei valitettavasti löydy.

Tropicana beach Resort - a peaceful getaway!

We took the hydrofoil from HCMC to Vung Tau then a taxi to the resort -400,000vnd, bout a 35 minute drive. As we arrived on a Friday afternoon, we were the only guests at the hotel which is exactly what we wanted. Check in was easy and we were shown to our deluxe room which we think was the best room in the house. We were on the 2nd floor facing the ocean and our TV was in front of the window giving us our own picture in picture. The room was clean and had a balcony - the only thing missing was chairs for the balcony as the chairs in the room were quite big and bulky to try to move outside. The bathroom was well equipped with a bathtub, hairdryer , lots of towels and lotions and potions. White terry cloth robes were in the closet. There is a long beach in front of the hotel, perfect for those who like an early morning walk on the beach. The food was good but a bit on the expensive side, 250,000 vnd for rack of lamb which although very tasty, was actually 2 lamb chops served with french fries. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of Asian food and bacon, sausage, eggs and omelettes for the Western palate. A company group came later in the afternoon and we were a bit concerned about the noise factor as we noticed a bonfire had been built of the beach in front of our room. We were pleased to find that although the group seemed to have a good time, there was no karoake and the noise was minimal, mostly drowned out by the sound of the pounding surf!! In the morning, all evidence of the fire and the party were gone. The pool was clean with lounge chairs around it and staff to provide towels. There is a decent fitness room and a games room with fuze ball and a pool table, also surf boards, wind sails and inflatable canoes for rent. The sea was quite rough while we were there so we didn't try any of the rental equipment. The spa was great, I had a 3 hour package which cost 700,000 vnd and would recommend. The only negative thing about the resort was that there is nothing within walking distance such as convenience shops or restaurants so unless you're mobile, you're stuck there. For us it was fine as we just wanted peace and quiet away from the noise and pollution but it's not a party resort. I'd recommend the resort to couples or families but not to party animals!!

The hotel looks run down and the service is terrible. The restaurant is expensive, and the food is not very good.
