Yellowstone adventure

Loved Yellowstone. The cabin/condo was beautiful. Very comfy and cozy. Would recommend to all. Only thing anyone commented on was bed in basement the springs made a little more noise.

Great place, great location.

This property is right by Yellowstone for quick easy access. It is close to a playground, park, and good restaurants, including the best BBQ I have had in a long time! The common space in the home is comfortable, kitchen stocked well, beds very comfortable. The management company was VERY responsive when I reached out to them for some help.

We enjoyed

There were 2 couples so we each had our own private space which was awesome. We had top floor, they had “basement”. Everything was clean. Management was responsive. The one very important thing I wish they had informed us is that you can RENT bear spray for $15 instead of paying $50 for it - just to leave it because you can’t fly with it. The bottom shower curtain needed to be bigger. I would stay here again & appreciate the management.

Cozy but underwhelming

I can't give this property 5 stars, as much as I know they'd like it. In my mind a 5-star review requires a 5-star experience, which we just didn't have. Let's break down the good and the bad though. The Good: * Location: This is right off of the main highway (we didn't hear any of the traffic from inside though), it was easy to get to restaurants and to yellowstone from here. * Beds: One reviewer said they only felt there were 2 bedrooms.. that is completely false, there are most certainly 4 bedrooms, we had 2 kids per bed in each room and it worked out great. * Internet: Of course YS doesn't have cell service so it was nice to come back to some fast internet to take care of a few things and to stream a Disney movie for the kids Friday night. * Outside: The outside patio has a bunch of comfortable chairs that we enjoyed hanging out on while the kids played in the empty lot next door. The 3-4 star items: * For the cost of the place, I would have expected the house to be better maintained. The downstairs bedroom had 2-3 missing blind panels, (kinda defeats the purpose of closing the light out). The light fixtures in the basement were missing, (only the light bulbs in but the rest of the fixture was gone), many outlets were loose when plugging in phone chargers they'd fall out, several outlet covers broken where you can see back into the wiring (not good when you have toddlers that like to stick their fingers everywhere), all the electronics for the tv in the main room are sitting on the fireplace bricks down low (cables just look messy and toddlers get into it). Front door has a bunch of puncture spots (not all the way through but you can see that it's not nice), etc. * when we got there there was still a blue cleaning glove and sponge in the sink from the cleaners (not a big deal, things happen). But like I said, for a 5-star review it should be a 5-star experience, I did not feel like the owners have been maintaining the building sufficiently for the price they charge. That being said, we were comfortable and we had a great trip. If you look around at the other accomodations for the area, it's probably pretty on-par in terms of upkeep, but I expected a bit more.

The house is clean, good location, perfect response time from management. Some cons: 1. The listing advertises four bedrooms, but it really only has two. The two upstairs are beautiful and great. The two in the basement are pretty poor. One has no windows and is very small. The other is essentially a hallway, a pass-through for the other bedroom, with no doors and no privacy. 2. The downstairs toilet needed some maintenance 3. Dining table is good for 6 people. We had 8 adults in our group, and it was a bit 'crowded'.

Really enjoyed

Walking distance to food, entertainment & shopping in town. Close to park entrance. We thought there would be washer/dryer, & there wasn’t. Dumpster was overloaded when we arrived June 29 & stayed that way. Others put sacks on ground & animals spread trash everywhere. We were told to keep our trash in unit. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location, great host.

Loved out stay here. 10/10 would stay here again. Host replied in a timely manner to any questions I had. Location is excellent. Close to everything in west Yellowstone and Yellow Stone west entrance.

Great property!

Trapper #8 met all of our needs and was the perfect home base for a week of Big Sky skiing. It was clean, well appointed and conveniently located within West Yellowstone. We'd love to come back!

Misleading listing

We were pretty disappointed unfortunately. The listing advertises four bedrooms but it really only has two. The two upstairs are beautiful and great. The two in the basement are pretty poor. One has no windows and is very close and small. The other is essentially a hallway, a pass-through for the other bedroom, with no doors and no privacy. The basement bathroom was unfortunately not very functional, the shower/tub had a shower curtain but it would only reach about halfway around. The sink was functional for adults but was too stiff for the children to use, they couldn't turn the sink on anytime they needed to wash hands. The toilet needed some maintenance and kids had a lot of difficulty flushing. Also I'm not sure what was up with the water heater but it ran out of water really fast, we had to be careful with conserving it. After getting back from a day hiking in Yellowstone it would have been nice to be able to use the showers instead of having to wait for the hot water to reheat. Overall, while the place was ok, it was very small and needed some care. We wouldn't have rented it if we knew about the bedroom situation ahead of time.

Perfect spot for exploring Yellowstone

We loved staying at this condo during our trip to Yellowstone. The condo is right in town and just minutes from the park. It’s perfect for families too, since our kids stayed downstairs, my mother and wife and I stayed upstairs, and everyone appreciated the space! The kitchen was ideal since we stayed in and cooked all our meals. And family time at night around the TV or playing board games in front of the fireplace was a lot of fun. I’d definitely stay here again, and wish we’d had longer to explore the town and national park.

This a great, clean property and minutes from Yellowstone. There is no ground floor bathroom, which is not a big deal for myself but would have been nice to have for my 82 year old mom

Great option for West Yellowstone

Affordable for the area, would recommend as a home base for the park and recreation in the area. The split living was nice for two families. Only complaint is some of the plug covers were broken or missing along with overhead light covers. Also the trash outside (shared) was overflowing which was definitely a bear danger!

Great location for Yellowstone Park

The location great and close to everything. The house is at up with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs with the kitchen and living on on main. The WiFi wasn’t fantastic but the house was great. Also, it would have been even better with a washer/dryer available. Definitely would stay again!!

Great Location for Yellowstone National Park

Terrific location just a few minutes from the park - we could walk to coffee, breakfast and dinner, when needed, however, we had most meals at home and the kitchen had everything (we also used the grill). Plenty of room for our family of 7.

Great Location and Access To Snowmobile Trails

This property was fantastic for our group of four family members. We had a queen bedroom we did not use so we could easily have added more to our group. We were across the street to the start of the groomed trails. It was the perfect location. We cooked our own meals and had all of the pans and dishes we needed. The fireplace was very nice in the evening. Highly recommended. We will choose this property again.
