Not much choice for breakfast, very dated decor, too many stairs to climb to our room limited bedroom and bathroom facilities. Very friendly owner and good service, very helpful.

Excellent, definitely come back
Very cosy and comfy room. Beds were great, shower too, breakfast was amazing and the host is really friendly and helpful. She gave us a permit to park for 4 days and finding a space was very easy. She has also helped us a lot with tips where to eat and how to get to places and everything. Genius, thank you so much :)

Our stay at the Beaches was good,Tamsin the landlady was very informative about the area, the breakfast was very good. The room was a little small but the bed was very comfortable, the only downside was that there was no ventilation as the window wasn’t able to be opened,but overall was very good value for money.

Lovely, quiet Guesthouse.
A really comfortable home from home, and Tamsin is a lovely host. The room was quiet and peaceful, and the bed was most comfortable. The breakfast was always cooked to order, and was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommended.

Good hotel.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Good hotel for getting your head down after a day visiting whitby. Full english breakfast sets you up for the day.

Had a lovely stay here This was our second visit, having thoroughly enjoyed it last time. The guest house is ideally located, being so close to both the sea front and the town. Tamsin is a great host – very friendly, accommodating and full of helpful information. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the cooked breakfast was excellent and substantial, really setting us up for the steep climbs.

Lovely cosy b&b with lovely breakfast
We took our granddaughter away for a couple of days and she loves whitby and decided on this b&b and glad we did because Tasmin is a lovely host and makes you feel welcome and it was a lovely cosy bedroom and very clean and comfy and lots aof tea and sugar is provided which is great and breakfast is lovely too .Would definitely come back again

Very pleasant and clean
Exactly what you need.. nothing too flash but very comfortable, clean and enjoyable. Tamzin is very welcoming! Good breakfast in the morning. All you can need for a stay in Whitby! The room had a very comfortable bed and was warm. Clean towels were on the bed ready on arrival. free tea and coffee tray was nice after a 3hour travel! Its a little walk in to town and docks but its expected! This B&B is worth the cost by a mile! Definately will stay here again, maybe even take the dog!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Beaches guest house. The owner is wonderful she is so friendly and gave us really good information about local events which were on and how to get to places. The guest house is in the centre of Whitby and 5 mins from the beach so you don't need to use the car. The Expedia information said you had to take your own towels and sheets but this is wrong they are provided. We would definitely recommend this property.

I enjoyed staying at The Beaches. Very friendly, helpful proprietress. Generous, good quality breakfast and tea and coffee making facilities. Easy walking distances to places of interest in Whitby. :-)

Unfortunately, my son and I didn't get to experience our long weekend away as I had car issues about half way into the journey. We had to be brought back by the recovery service. The whole ordeal lasted about 11 hours including waiting and journey times, not to mention the uneventful trip costing me £753.78 including the £150 hotel booking and £50 fuel. I did let the hotel know, but I am not sure if they managed to offer the accommodation to someone else at short notice. They did say that given the circunstances, they may offer us a room in the future as I already paid for it, but never got to enjoy it. I have yet to speak with them to confirm if this still an option for me. I am not sure where I stand with getting my money back if their offer is no longer available.

Has to be one of the best places to stay in Whitby

Even on first arrival the host was great, very welcoming and full of knowledge about the area and had so many helpful ideas and suggestions. The room was perfect for what we wanted and had tea and coffee facilities in the room. We had breakfast included and it was brilliant as well; full english which kept us going for a lot of the day. Very close to the centre (less than 5 minutes walk to a pub) and would absolutely come back here when we return to Whitby.
