CABIN RULES

To ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests, please take a moment to read the following guidelines. The rules are designed specifically for your remote coastal location and natural environment.

Respect for Nature & Quiet Environment
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• This is a peaceful, nature-based retreat. Please always keep noise to a minimum
• Avoid loud music or outdoor noise, especially at night

Wildlife Awareness
• The resort is located in a natural habitat, where wildlife such as kangaroos, birds, and reptiles are common
• Please Do Not feed or approach any wildlife
• Always drive slowly within the property, especially at dawn and dusk
• Keep cabin doors closed to prevent animals from entering

Coastal Safety (Very Important)
• The coastline surrounding the property is rugged and hazardous
• Guests are strictly NOT permitted to access or walk down to the shoreline
• Cliffs, unstable ground, strong winds, and rough seas make the area unsafe
• Please enjoy ocean views from desi

Fire Safety (Very Important)
• Kangaroo Island is a designated bushfire risk area, strict fire safety rules apply at all times
Indoor Fireplace
• The indoor fireplace must be used responsibly and never left unattended
• Indoor firewood is provided during the cooler seasons only
• Ensure the fire is fully extinguished before sleeping or leaving the cabin

**Important**
No fires of any kind are permitted on Total Fire Ban days (South Australia regulations)
Guests must comply with all local fire restrictions
**Please note:
• No outdoor fire pits are permitted

Smoking Policy
• Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside all cabins

Pets
• Pets are not allowed at the resort

Cabin Care & Use
• Please treat the cabin and all furnishings with care
• Do not move furniture or equipment between cabins
• Any damage or issues should be reported as soon as possible

Amenities & Equipment
• Picnic baskets are provided, please wash, dry and return after use
• Do not remove cabin items such as toiletries or bathrobes

Blinds & Equipment
• The cabin is fitted with electric blinds. Please operate them using the provided remote only
• Do not force blinds manually to avoid damage

Driving & Parking
• Drive slowly on all internal roads (unsealed surfaces)
• Park only in designated areas near your cabin
• Avoid blocking access roads

Waste & Cleanliness
• Dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided
• Do Not leave food outside, as it may attract wildlife
• Keep the cabin tidy during your stay
• Keep food sealed and clean up crumbs to avoid attracting ants
• Pest spray is provided, use lightly around doors and windows if needed
• All rubbish must be disposed of in the Bin Area located near the Shed (as shown on the site map)
• The bin area is fence, please open the gate to access the bins
• After disposing of your rubbish, kindly close the gate securely
**Important**
• Do not leave rubbish outside your cabin or the bins, as it may attract wildlife
• Please ensure all waste is properly bagged before disposal


Walking & Outdoor Safety
• The site may become muddy in wet weather, please walk carefully
• Walk only on the designated paths and avoid stepping on the garden beds.
• Some building corners are sharp, please take care

Lighting at Night
• A torch is provided in each cabin
• While solar lights guide main paths, please always use a torch at night
• Extra caution is required when walking after dark

Remote Location Notice
• There is No On-Site Staff or Reception
• Mobile signal may vary, please plan ahead
• In case of emergency, call 000 immediately

First Aid
• A share First Aid Kit is located in front of the cabin “Possum”
• Please use responsibly and do not remove supplies

Respect the Environment
• Help us protect this unique coastal environment
• Do not litter or disturb natural surroundings
• Stay on designated oaths where possible
