The best features of the house are its outside deck with spectacular views of mountains and hummingbirds, enough space for seven easily, an owner who was easy to reach, great wood stove, and great location for hiking nearby.
Things to know. It’s not a brand new house, only used part of the year, with all the inherent issues that go along with that. (Photos on the site are from about ten years ago.) Some things definitely need updating/improvement. Some of the furniture has large tears in it, the sofa bed was broken when we arrived, a sliding door was added but not completely finished so molding is in the living room rather than around the door frame. There is a credenza that needs some care and one of the showers needs repair. At this point in the summer, some cooking utensils seem to have either walked away or been broken and need to be replaced. Curtains in the third floor bedroom would help for folks who don’t want to rise with the sun.
Also, it is a full mile’s walk to get from the house to the private beach on the lake although the description says 1/2 mile. The lake itself is small. If you are looking to be on a lake where you can paddle, this isn’t really it.
