« We were looking for somewhere central to everyone, and we stumbled on this gem. While we didn't do much in the area, there are a few things that would be fun with a group during the tourist season (winery, lakes). The house is very private, and we enjoyed sitting in the sun room with the windows open for the breeze. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The house was a lovely mix of updated but keeping the farmhouse feel. Overall lovely stay! »

« It’s hard to decide where to begin. Everything was absolutely immaculate. The barn is so well appointed and welcoming when you walk in. Everything was available inside the barn for making meals. If you didn’t wanna go out for dinner the grounds were beyond stunning. The surrounding town were full of fun with lots of friendly people. And the wildlife was abundant at every corner. « Super cute farmhouse! Britt did an amazing job updating the original home. There are a few things that still need to be fixed, but overall it had all the comforts of home. All three kids had amazing bedrooms and no fighting over the "best" room! Yay! It is a little way out into the country, but not far from stores and restaurants. We hope to be back next year! »

« This was our fourth stay at the Akey House. It is a fine place for a family gathering; we had five adults and two dogs. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching deer, listening to birds and coyotes, reading and just relaxing. The house is ideal location for those who wish to canoe, hike, and bicycle. It is modern (kitchen is great) yet retains that old-time feel in the dining room, porch, parlor and bedrooms. Very comfortable for large or small gatherings. »
