  • Chalet au bord de l'eau idyllique et serein. Le cadre est paisible, privé avec une terrasse orientée vers l’ouest, perché de façon unique au-dessus de 3 hectares d’eau de source alimentée par une truite et alimentée par une source, propice aux couchers de soleil romantiques. Le chalet détaillé et confortable est livré avec une cuisine bien équipée, parfaite pour 2 personnes. Détendez-vous, lisez, pêchez, écoutez les huards - une escapade parfaite. La région est réputée pour la randonnée, le kayak et la pêche.
    La cabine est vraiment de la grille. Il n'y a pas de service wifi ou de téléphone cellulaire. Il n'y aura pas d'interruption. Venez et débranchez.

Peaceful Getaway

The property was clean and well stocked. We loved the peaceful location and enjoyed reading out on the deck. Deda was quick to respond to a couple of questions that he had. Definitely would stay here again!

The Deck is all you need

The cabin is cozy inside - but really the Deck is remarkable sitting on the deck is almost as if you have gone into a different world - loons, turtles, frogs on lilly pads Perfect in every way

Great relaxing stay

It was cute and perfect. We spent alot of time just chilling on the deck just watching the loons and geese. You could watch turtles come near the dock too. Great place for a couple to stay!

Great place to relax and watch nature

My fiancé and I both loved our stay. We are still talking about how peaceful it was just sitting on the deck looking out at the water while listening to loons, frogs, and fish. We were lucky enough to be greeted by a bald eagle twice over our first two days. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Awesome place

Property was exactly what we were looking for a perfect weekend getaway locations. The deck view over the pond is incredible and the cabin was neat and well maintained. Owners were very thorough throughout the the entire process and made sure any and all questions were answered promptly. We will be back!

This property was full of charm and peacefulness. It was well stocked with all the things you often forget when traveling. The only thing I didnt see was a fire alarm.

Serene, quite peaceful lake. Zero sounds of traffic. So quiet we had to put on soft music. Very healthy ecosystem at the lake, turtles, dragonflies and lilly pads near the house making it not appropriate for swimming. So we went to the delightful Swiftwater Bridge swimming hole 5 minutes down the road. (You need to be sure footed to make it down the path there.) The lake house is 2 flights of stairs down from the parking area. This must be an historic cabin to be over the water. A privilege to experience it. Obviously you will be spending most of your time on the West facing deck. We only saw neighbors on the weekend. So the only ding I gave the property was because I had to clean the microwave, the stove knobs, the kitchen tablecloth had crumbs so I basically did a kitchen wipe down (with their wipes) and then I was good to go. K cup machine needs de-scaling so we bought a French press. And bathroom is elbow knocking small. A small shelf over the sink would be helpful. Bed seemed to be a permanent Murphy bed? Wasn't bad at first but over the week the 6 inches of soft foam on the mattress started to ache a bit. Overall the week was serene and therapeutic. I hated to leave.

We checked in as scheduled but could not stay in the cottage. The smell of mold was overwhelming and, we felt, not good for our health.

Wedding getaway

My wife and I choose to stay in this little piece of heaven for our son's wedding that was nearby in Vermont. The view is peaceful and on a clear night, all you see is the sky lit up with what looks like a zillion stars twinkling. The space is perfect for two people. This is a special and unique property. The owner was available and willing to help. Thank you, Deda!

Adorable waterfront rental

This rental is so adorable. Perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway. The deck on the lake is so peaceful and quiet. Stunning views of Fall foliage. It rained most of our weekend but we were still able to use the deck since it’s covered thankfully. The interior is super cute and very clean. Lots of kitchen utensils/pans. Everything we needed to make meals. The fridge is a mini fridge- keep that in mind when packing. The outside does need some TLC (solar lights not working, lots of spider webs and bugs on screen) but definitely NOT a game changer. We really enjoyed our time and would love to come back again!

Hoping to return in 2024!

My husband & I found the cabin on French Pond to be so relaxing & tranquil. We did have a few days of rain, the week of our trip, but this did not dampen our stay as the deck offered coverage & the loon, and other birds, entertainment. The cabin itself was very comfortable. We had excellent Cell phone reception. No tv - but not really missed as we spent most of our waking hours on the deck to watch birds or read or just enjoy the beauty & sounds of pond life. We took our time carrying our bags & boxes of items from the parking spot down to the cabin (we are both in our mid-60’s so are extra mindful of safety). The shower has great water pressure but is rather small so a person of size might find it to be a tight squeeze. Communication with Deda was easy as she responded to any inquiries I sent to her quickly. We started talking about a return trip as soon as we left this lovely vacation spot.

This is as close to the water as you can get. It actually hangs over the waters edge. It is a cottage so don’t expect pristine, but quaint.Felt secluded, lots of wild life to hear at night. Kitchen fridge is small but adequate, bring drinking water and a good book and you’ll be all set.

Peaceful, quiet pond complete with loons

It's a nice little cabin with everything in good condition and what we needed. It has a great view of the pond with a very nice deck that extends right over the water. We had several loon sightings, even a few within 20-30 feet. It was amazingly quiet - no motor boats on the pond and one could barely hear the occasional car. On the negative side, it is not easily accessible if you have any mobility issues - a lot of steps down from the parking area. Also, being near the pond, there are a LOT of bugs, many of which try very hard to get inside. The bed was a bit soft for us as well. But with the beautiful pond, being very close to the White Mountains, and a good price, it gets 5 stars from us.

Peaceful getaway

The whole experience in this area of New Hampshire was just what my wife and I needed. The cabin and pond were so tranquil and peaceful with a ton of activities to do in the surrounding area. We went zip lining and hiked lost river gorge. Also got a fishing license and found shed right off the porch. Wonderful setting and everything was just as advertised. A perfect getaway for two
