„The room included parking and breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good location for Ambleside and getting the boats to other parts of the lake. Lovely clean room, good bed and bedding. Breakfast was hot and cold buffet and very good as were the evening meals.“

There are no reception staff - but very clear instructions regarding access to the property are sent to you before arrival and further information is provided in the room. We were here for one night and it was ideal for our short stay. “

„Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und man kam sich bei dem Service fast wie in einem 5 Sterne Hotel vor. Uns wurde angeboten das Gepaeck auf das Zimmer zu bringen und wir wurden zu unserem Zimmer begleitet. Das Zimmer war sauber und gross genug und mit Wasserkocher und Kaffee/Tee sowie Keksen ausgestattet. Zum Fruehstueck gab es u.a. Cornflakes und Muesli. Ausserdem konnte man sich aus einem Menu eigentlich alles was das Herz begehrt (Eier, Bohnen, Schinken, Wurst, Omlette, Waffeln..) ...

All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had! „Beautiful house,very clean and I saw them cleaning the room after we left and it was very thorough. Food superb and substantial with canapes and sorbet mouth cleansers we could not finish a substantial main course and no room for desert. Service friendly. “

„The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. “
