Great simple accommodation, perfect for an overnight stay. Linen and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfy. Late check in was a bonus as we contacted them ahead of time.
The room was tidy but carpet stained and things dusty.
Bed was super comfortable.
The staircase at the back to enter the accommodation was unlit at night making it dangerous.
The Peppercorn hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. We were staying over on a cycling trip.
Dinner was really pleasant, good food and wonderful service.
We stayed for four nights . The room was never cleaned. Nowhere to place you luggage. Toilet was running for the whole time, Water in the bath tub was brown. Windows , curtains and carpet are not cleaned in quite some time.
Fireplace in the room was smelling. Breakfast was a joke. No bread on Monday.
Overall not a boutique accommodation
A beautiful hotel with friendly staff and our room was comfortable clean and welcoming.
On arrival we were welcomed with a warm smile from staff and even though the hotel was busy a staff member who was off duty escorted us to our room and booked us in for dinner.
Highly recommend this hotel stay 5 stars
Stayed for one night. Met. By someone who had no idea about bookings and had to contact someone off site to confirm our booking. Room at first glance nice and comfortable, but empty beer bottle on the shelf, 4 lights in the ceiling didnât work as did neither of the bedside lights! Not really clean either so the overall appearance is of an operation being run on a very limited budget.
Also ate there. Okay but again could be much better with some extra care and attention.
Go with an open mind and enjoy, the building is a wonderful old pub full of interest for the visitor.
The restaurant downstairs is great, right in the old pub, we were there on Curry night, very good!
Continental breakfast is set up in a common area upstairs - take what you want back to your room.
Room facilities and condition are very ordinary but we enjoyed our stay.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
We didnât seem to be expected so checkin was awkward but the room was lovely and the restaurant meal fabulous. The exterior of this lovely building needs some attention to match the beautiful interior.
Great accomodation, only downer we had to wash plates, glasses and cutlery before using as someone had put them away dirty. Maybe cleaner should check this when cleaning
What a hidden gem - lovely clean large rooms, in a lovely location. With great food and even better service in the pub downstairs. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
I arrived late and the restaurant had shut 15 mins earlier. The owner made me a delicious Butter Chicken as Tuesday was curry night. Mickey from behind the bar was extremely good at her job and helped me with the local beer selection. The room was fantastic. It was spacious, clean and quiet. I also enjoyed a final drink in a comfortable chair on the balcony. The bed in my room was extremely comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. My only regret was not being able to stay for an additional night.
We chose to stay here due to the proximity to parts of the Rail Trail.
Room was very clean. We chose the verandah room. It was upstairs. Our son chose another room which was downstairs.
No direct access to the verandah from our room but thereâs a door next to our room that can be used to gain access.
Large shower with two shower heads. Swivel TV that can be viewed from the bed or the lounge chairs. Beautiful wooden floorboards. Plenty of bedding with crisp top and bottom sheets and warm quilts.
Keys to the room and the door to the top floor are in a lock box near the external staircase.
Thereâs also an internal staircase to the restaurant/bar area.
On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings the restaurant serves Indian food. I donât know what they serve the other nights.
Car parking is off street, at the side of the hotel. Thereâs also a courtyard next to the car park with plenty of tables and chairs.
Staff kindly warmed up my sonâs pizza (which he had brought from home) because thereâs no microwaves in the individual hotel rooms.
Our verandah room must have been above the restaurant. We could hear the music but it wasnât too loud and it didnât go too late.
Hotel is on a suburban street, near a park, just a block away from the main shopping strip. Thereâs also a wetland area nearby with boardwalks, ponds etc which we walked around after dinner.
