The Space:

Bedrock Bungalow is a cozy home perched on a hilltop and surrounded by boulders, on five private acres in a quiet, secluded spot in Yucca Valley. Inside, a wood-slat ceiling, rattan pendants and wide picture windows keep the rooms warm and full of light, with views over the town below. Out back are an in-ground pool and a hot tub, and at the very top of the hill a clear stargazing dome takes in 360-degree mountain views. Two bedrooms, each with a king bed, and two bathrooms make it an easy fit for couples or a small group who want privacy, views and dark skies. Save some energy for the climb to the dome after dinner.

-Outdoor Amenities-

Mornings are bright on the pool deck, where loungers and umbrellas look out over the boulders and the hills. Swim, read, swim again. When the light starts to turn, move to the hot tub on the patio, kept heated and set just below the dome, and fire up the BBQ for dinner.



After dark, the fire pit seating comes into its own, with the dome lit up on the hill above. Follow the wooden steps up and settle onto the loungers inside the clear dome, where the views run 360 degrees around the mountains and the stars fill in overhead.



-Living Area-

A wood-slat ceiling and a wide picture window give the living room its view of the hills, while rattan pendants, woven chairs and a sofa make it an easy place to gather. Pull a book or a game from the shelves of pottery and books, or put a movie on the smart TV. Split-system heating and cooling keeps it comfortable whatever the season.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully equipped kitchen has a window over the counter that looks toward the hills, so even doing the dishes comes with a view. Cook breakfast in and eat at the dining table beside the living room, or grill outside on the BBQ and carry the plates to the patio.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The first bedroom pairs a king bed and arched headboard with a sliding door out to the boulders and a desk by the window, so you can step outside with your first coffee. The second bedroom has its own king bed, rust-toned bedding and pendant lights.

Both bathrooms have marble showers, a clean finish after a long day in the sun.



-Surrounding Area-

Bedrock Bungalow sits on a quiet hilltop in Yucca Valley. La Copine, downtown Joshua Tree, Pappy and Harriet's in Pioneertown, the Integratron and Palm Springs all make good outings. Come home to the pool, the hot tub and a dome full of stars.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please do not follow navigation for the final turns. When going down Grand Ave, do not turn right on Nelson; keep going straight. Then turn right on Tish Trail until you reach Nelson, and turn right on Nelson to Bedrock Bungalow. The last listing photo also shows the route to the house.



Other Things to Note:

-Property Access-

Access to the property is only permitted with a confirmed booking. Exterior cameras monitor activity, and visitors without a booking will be asked to leave.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time. Please rinse off oils and lotions before entering, keep the cover on when not in use, and no drinking in the hot tub, please.



-Pool Heating-

Pool heating is not available at Bedrock Bungalow. The hot tub is always kept heated, at no charge.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
