The Space:

Desert Remedy is a hexagon-shaped house on a cul-de-sac in Yucca Valley, surrounded by boulders with panoramic views. The heart of the property is a 1,000 sq ft deck built into the rocks, with a container pool, hot tub, sauna, fire pit and lounge chairs, and a pickleball court sits among the boulders nearby. Inside, warm wood ceilings, a white fireplace and patterned walls give the rooms an earthy, eclectic character, and five bedrooms, two kings and three queens, share three bathrooms. It is made for larger groups who want plenty to do without leaving the property. Dinner on the second-floor patio is the house special.

-Outdoor Amenities-

Start the day on the pickleball court, laid out among the boulders, while the air is still cool. By afternoon, the 1,000 sq ft deck is where everyone ends up: line up on the lounge chairs beside the container pool, trade turns between the barrel sauna and the hot tub, and climb the rocks around you between swims.



As the light goes gold, carry plates up to the second-floor patio, where the BBQ grill, a long dining table and an outdoor sofa face the boulders. After dinner, gather around the sunken fire pit set into the deck. For a slower hour, the covered porch has a swinging daybed made for an afternoon nap.



-Living Area-

Wood-beamed ceilings and a white fireplace set the tone in the living room, with a leather chair, a deep sofa and rounded seating gathered on a patterned rug. There is no TV here, so it stays a room for conversation, games and one more story by the fire.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully stocked kitchen is set up for group meals, with an island under pendant lights, a brown tile wall lined with open shelves and a window over the sink that looks out at the boulders. Pull up a stool while dinner comes together, then carry it upstairs to the patio table and eat with the view.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Desert Remedy has five bedrooms with two king beds and three queen beds, and three bathrooms. Each room has its own personality, from bold patterned wallpaper and wicker chairs to a floral room with a scalloped headboard, a wavy mirror and a door to the patio. Smart TVs with Netflix and Hulu are in the upstairs primary bedroom, the downstairs primary bedroom and the bedroom with the extra bed, so everyone can wind down with a show.

The bathrooms carry the same spirit, with green tile around a freestanding tub, a dark tile shower and a double vanity.



-Surrounding Area-

From Desert Remedy, the day can go to La Copine, Joshua Tree Village, Pappy and Harriet's in Pioneertown or the Integratron, or into Joshua Tree National Park for a day of hiking and scenic drives.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

-Container Pool-

The pool at Desert Remedy is a container pool set into the boulder deck.



-TVs-

There is no TV in the living room. The upstairs primary bedroom, the downstairs primary bedroom and the bedroom with the extra bed each have a TV, and there are no other TVs in the house.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.

► Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time. Please rinse off oils and lotions before entering, keep the cover on when not in use, and no drinking in the hot tub, please.



-Pool Heating-

Pool heating is currently unavailable until further notice. The hot tub and sauna are available year-round.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
