Sehr schönes Hotel, prima Service
Das Hotel Sofitel verfügt über sehr schöne saubere große Zimmer mit einem ausgezeichneten Zimmerservice. Das Frühstück u der Frühstücksservice sind ebenfalls großartig. Pool und Fitness sind prima, die Leistungen des Beauty Salons und Spas sind leider für Europäer verhältnismäßig teuer. Sehr schade! Der Strand ist sehr sauber, der abgegrenzte Schwimmbereich am Meer ist eher klein. Die Liegen am Meer und Pool bräuchten zum Teil neue Kissen. Das Abendessen am Buffet hat insbesondere wegen der vielfaltigen Desserts meine Kinder begeistert, aber auch die Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen sind lecker. Das Personal ist durchweg extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel sehr gerne weiter.

Geheimtipp am Persischen Golf
Wir waren über den Jahreswechsel da und im Gegensatz zu Dubai/Abu Dhabi war es nicht so brechend voll. Im Wesentlichen trafen wir Gäste aus den Nachbarstaaten an sowie Amerikaner/Europäer, die in Saudi Arabien ihrem Job nachgingen (keine deutschen Pauschaltouristen). Vom Klima bis zum Hotel war alles super, wenn es ein Haar in der Suppe gab - dann, das die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist und zum Shoppen eine Taxi (ca. 20 Min.) bemüht werden musste.

Hübsches, luxuriöse, freundliches Hotel
Wir waren für 5 Tage in diesem Hotel und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Von vorne bis hinten war alles Perfekt. Super netter Service, immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Schickes, luxuriöse Hotel mit eigenem schönen ruhigen Strand und einer schöner Poollandschaft. Ich als Frau habe mich sehr wohl und nie bedrängt gefühlt, würde ohne Bedenken alleine ein paar Tage Urlaub dort verbringen, was man nicht von vielen Hotels sagen kann. Das Essen war immer frisch zubereitet und richtig köstlich, die Desserts unbeschreiblich gut. In Allem war alles von Frühstück bis Abendessen sehr lecker, egal in welchem Restaurant man gegessen hat. Der einzige kleine Negativpunkt ist, dass man alles auf die Zimmernummer schreiben lässt und wir hatten das Problem, dass jemand seine Zimmernummer so unleserlich geschrieben hatte, dass wir das auf der Rechnung hatten :-/ ABER gleich als wir das bemerkten und uns beschwert hatten wurde das Problem gleich freundlich gelöst. Für mich waren es richtige entspannte Tage und würde immer wieder zurückfahren.

Hotel is in a lovely setting on the beach but is masquerading as a 5 star hotel. We were staying as a family for a winter sun break, whilst we were there the hotel was hosting a big wedding over many days. The noise level from this was completely unacceptable on many occasions (stacks of speakers and very loud music), public areas of the hotel monopolised, set up taking place at night causing sleep disturbance and hotel staff generally prioritising the wedding. Mattresses on Sun loungers were shabby as were many pool towels. No service at pool bar. Service at Breakfast very hit and miss. Friday brunch also very loud, disturbing attempts at relaxing by the pool. Really feels like the hotel prioritises making money over guest satisfaction. Club Millesime was good, great service from Hanna and Michelle.

We stay at this hotel every October. This year we noticed a big difference and not in a good way. Every day we had to ask for towels as they’d clean the room and then not leave any towels. We’d then be given 2 towels for 4 of us! Not a major issue but inconvenient having to constantly ask and wait for them to be brought to us. Also, things in the room didn’t work (hair dryer and shaving socket). There was a wedding during our stay, again this isn’t a problem as it quite nice watching what’s going on but the set up took away a section of the pool area and the DJ and music were ridiculously loud, not very relaxing for guests who weren’t part of the wedding. It won’t put us off staying again as we love the area but the standards do need to be improved.

We stayed at SOFITEL as a family and we unfortunately experienced several hiccups: -We had clearly booked a room for 4 people, yet the room did not have enough beds to accommodate us all. We were given a cot, which was barely fit for our 2 year old, and we were CLEARLY told by the hotel staff, that they expect us to accommodate our 5 year old in our bed in a rude manner. With no efforts whatsoever in making a bed available for him. -We were told we were upgraded, yet the room simply matched our booking. -The lifeguards by the kids' pool were constantly using their phones and wearing earphones, raising great concerns for our kids' safety. -We asked for beach towels, which came about an hour late. This made it quite inconvenient for us to make sure our kids were not freezing when they came out of water. -Inside the room, the light on top of the toilet mirror loosened and fell on my wife's head. We called the reception, they sent a technician to fix it, who also left the toilet in great mess afterwards. -On a peak, Eid break, the resort had chosen to use very toxic paint to paint and maintain the roads leading to the pools. -Worst part of all was, upon checkout we discussed all our concerns with the Guest Relations officer on April 27th, whose simple answer was to us: I am not aware of all this, and I will have to investigate. It is quite sad that the resort's beauty does not match its terrible service, and that we truly did not get value for our money.

Nice visit
Family with 2 small children. (+) Kids club was very good, as was the splash park. Hotel was very pretty and pristine. Room was nice. Breakfast was good, though the service was friendly but slow. (-) Hotel towel system was very wasteful which given Sofitels general environmental concern was surprising.

I was highly disappointed as the quality of the hotel was not what I expect of a Sofitel brand. The reception staff was very lovely but the rest not so much. The room I checked into had a dirty tub (hair, rust stains, dirt rig on tub). The staff took over one hour to arrange for another "upgraded room" to only give me a room that was not ready, with a significantly smaller patio, and a not so equivalent view. This "upgrade" was more like a downgrade. I was placed into my old room and settled on having the maids come clean. To my surprise when they ran the water brown rusted water came out. I was disgusted and needless to say I did not take a bath. This process caused me a 2 hr delay making me significantly late to a concert I was attending in the area. With food service, I had not-so-stellar service. In one order my food was cold, second order requested no mayo (because in Bahrain they put mayo on everything) my BBQ burger came back plain with no BBQ sauce! Next morning I ordered the anti-aging breakfast among other items. Welp I got no anti-aging breakfast but sure did get the bill. At this point, I was over it, and continued with my spa appointment which was superb! After my spa appointment, I wanted to check out as soon as possible and return home. Unfortunately, it took about one hour for them to correct my bill and refund me for the breakfast I did not receive. Also, my room had some visible wear and tear. In summary, keep the spa, but throw the hotel away!
