« Our room was 205 room needs a bit of an upgrade plus the floor was running on a slant so if you moved on the bed to quick you could fall out on to the floor apart from that everything was fine staff very helpful food was good I know it's an old building but these things matter also we would have no hesitation coming back to stay again maybe just another room thanks »

« Room was fine with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully presented and of à high quality. Would definitely stay here again »

« This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs.

« The Potter suite that I was staying in had the most beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. My comfortable room was being cleaned every day. I can also recommend the bathtub in which I took very relaxing baths. The staff is friendly and accommodated to all of our needs and were overall just very helpful. Taking morning walks to the lake is also something that I enjoyed doing a lot. The hotel truly has a magical garden. I will definitely come back to the Derwentwater Hotel when I visit the...
