« This property was an amazing stay. Peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Be prepared for an adventurous off road experience to reach the cabin. We loved every minute of our trip. The only downside of our stay was several ( at least 5) wasps nests on the house which made entering and exiting the home challenging. The host did respond to my message about the wasps and stated she would be dealing with them. Overall an amazing property and great for a vacation. »

« House was great and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Large and private, but not quite secluded. Can see other houses. Mountain driveway is not to be underestimated. 4WD required and need tall clearance under car. It is 1-car wide and challenged when you meet another car coming the other way. Close enough to both Shenandoah for outdoor activities and C’ville for city attractions. Cleanliness great! Communication easy and prompt. »

« This cabin was wonderful. Definitely off the beaten path but provided great quiet serenity after a full day in the park. You really can't beat something 15 minutes from the park entrance and also 15 minutes from town/groceries/restaurants. Stunning sunsets from the porch! The hottub was great after miles of hiking and it was so nice to be able to bring our dog, too. The yard was great to play fetch and explore. « Everything was very clean and the views are next to none. The trek up to the cabin was absolutely breath taking also. Privacy was amazing the nature surrounding you, watching fireflies at night was one of the highlights, I haven’t seen them since I was a kid. Definitely will be back. »

« Fantastic property! A true getaway in the trees. Remote enough to feel away from it all but easy to get to town for supplies and to Shenandoah National Park for all it has to offer. The cabin is well stocked with all the essentials with some nice added amenities (hot tub, grill, fire pit). The view off the deck - anytime of day but especially including the sunset — is spectacular. Would recommend a car with AWD to navigate the driveway or would suggest parking at the top and walking down. The...

« My friends and I had a fantastic time staying at the dancing bear. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The host was also easy to get ahold of. There is a wonderful view from the cabin overlooking the valley below. Just make sure to bring a flashlight for the stairs leading to the firepit when going down there at night because they are unlit and one of my friends did trip when using them in the dark. »

"Nous avons passĂ© 3 nuits dĂ©but juillet 2025 Ă  Skyland, et ce fut une expĂ©rience exceptionnelle ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen Ă©tait spacieuse, propre et trĂšs confortable. Elle disposait de tout le nĂ©cessaire : TV, Wi-Fi, machine Ă  cafĂ©, et surtout une superbe terrasse avec une vue Ă  couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Shenandoah : un vrai bonheur au lever comme au coucher du soleil. Le personnel a Ă©tĂ© extrĂȘmement accueillant et serviable tout au long du sĂ©jour, ce qui a rendu l’expĂ©rience encore plus agrĂ©able. L’hĂŽtel est idĂ©alement situĂ© au cƓur du parc, parfait pour rayonner sur Skyline Drive et profiter des randonnĂ©es sans passer trop de temps en voiture. Sur place, tout est prĂ©vu pour un sĂ©jour pratique et agrĂ©able : restaurant, bar, boutique, machine Ă  glace, parking gratuit
 (Seul petit point Ă  noter : il n’y a pas de piscine, mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour ça !). Nous recommandons chaudement Skyland Ă  tous ceux qui veulent profiter pleinement de Shenandoah NP dans un cadre naturel, calme et authentique. Nous y retournerions sans hĂ©siter !"
