Wonderful layout where the bedrooms were spread out and fun games. Our three adult kids (in their 20s) loved hanging out downstairs and playing pool together. There's ping pong and foosball in the garage. The main floor has a nice gas fireplace and we appreciated the partially stocked kitchen. Would stay again.

This was perfect for our party of 11 that came together to celebrate my parents’ anniversary. We had a wide range of ages. The backyard and game rooms were great for kids/teens. 20 minute drive to great restaurants, about 20-30 minutes to Biltmore. Hope we can stay again some day!

Most Hospitable Host

My extended family stayed here during a family weekend for my daughter's school. The day of our arrival, Hurricane Helene struck and devastated the area. We could not make it to the property, but my sister and her family traveling from north made it. The host, the neighbors and everyone in the community were so kind and gracious to her. We had no way of communicating due to lack of cell service and Internet. The house has a generator and the host and her in-laws visited my sister and brought food for her. When we finally made it to the property the next day, the area was under shortage of gas, water and food. The host again brought us food and was so kind and generous with us. This is an amazingly beautiful and well-kept gem. We hope to come back again when there is water and electricity and get to enjoy this beautiful house! Thank you!!

Asheville Experience

This home worked out great for our needs. There were 10 of us traveling and we were very pleased with the layout of this property. We love when we can get one bathroom for each couple. The dining room table is very sturdy, but needs a little "TLC". It has a slight wobble that can easily be remedied. It was convenient to getting around Asheville and tour the Biltmore. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house in the Mountains

The house was great. We had a big crowd and plenty of room. The bedrooms were comfortable. The bathrooms were plentiful and modern. The TVs are new and worked well. We had our two adult children and their entire families with us- 5 grandkids, ages 4-11. The kids loved the house. In addition to the treehouse, the backyard has a rock wall, zipline and swing. The grarage has a ping-pong table and foosball. And then there's the pool room and the theatre room- well- you can imagine. We adults had plenty of time to visit. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect for a three generation family reunion

This large and thoughtfully equipped house was perfect for our three generation family reunion. Although it seems far from Asheville when you first approach, it is easy to get into town, as well as to the highways. A well stocked grocery store and a nice community pool are just 3 miles away.

Comfortable and Lots to Do

We enjoyed our stay very much. When we arrived we found a nice thank you card, several bags of popcorn, two bottles of wine, and a huge charcuterie platter had been gifted to us to enjoy which was unexpected and very gracious. The house was beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. We spent a lot of time downstairs in the theater room and the billiards room. The kids loved the backyard as well. The location was perfect. Everywhere we wanted to go was no more than 30 minutes in any direction. The neighborhood was beautiful and very quiet. Highly recommend this property.

Family Spring break getaway

I would like to start off by saying we really appreciated the welcome gift when we arrived at the house. My husband and I enjoyed the wine and the kids loved the snacks. As for our stay, the house was very clean and fully equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. The decore was nice and the beds were really comfortable. The backyard was a huge hit for the kids with the fort, tree swing and especially the zipline. Just about every night we used the movie theater and we were able to get in a few nights of roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. We also loved how convenient it was to gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and the Biltmore Estate. There is also a handbook that provides you with all the information you need on the house and surrounding area. The only incident we had was the broken fridge we discovered on our first night after getting groceries. The host was very responsive and was able to get someone out to the house fairly quickly. Unfortunately it was determined the fridge needed to be replaced. However, they were able to get a new fridge the very next morning. Any food we loss they took care of it. Overall I highly recommend the Maplewood Escape property and would definitely come back.

Great Family Place

This house was amazing and awesome. The children had the best time watching movies in the theatre room. They enjoyed the treehouse and the zip line. The host left a welcome gift which was wonderful. The layout of the house was great for our gathering with plenty of room for everyone. Definitely, a house we will rent again. The host was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. It was a wonderful weekend and the house allowed us to make a sweet memory for everyone.

Amazing experience for my bachelorette party!

We had such a great stay at this beautiful property! Our group of 9 had so much space and really enjoyed all the amenities. We did not have a coffee pot at the home and they had one delivered for us in under an hour! We all had late flights so the host graciously allowed for a late check out. Already looking forward to coming back!

Relaxing long weekend

The pictures and description of the house don’t do it justice. It’s obvious the owners have gone out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable. The location was great - close proximity all the places we wanted visit.

We all really enjoyed the home! The only disappointment was movie theatre did not work and no response from rental folks. Kitchen pans need to be replaced.

great place for large groups

The distance to Asheville and surrounding was a bit far but was understandable based on the terrain. Lighting outside the front door and walkway was lacking. Neighborhood was safe. Overall good experience.
