« This trip was a surprise 40th birthday trip for my fiance. The house is absolutely beautiful! The wood stove inside is super cozy, the hammock swings outside are an amazing place to relax and read. If you want to unplug from the world and relax and recharge, the lazy bear is the place to go. The host was amazing at answering all our questions. We can't wait to come back. »

« Had a great time with family. We had all that we needed. The cabin was clean, the deck and dog area was spacious, the fire pit was fun for making s’mores. Too hot for the hot tub but was private and nice. Having the two separate cabins gave all some privacy at night to unwind from the day. »

« The house has real potential, but also has real problems. It needs some maintenance in a major way. The toilet won’t flush. The faucet in the bathtub fell off. The grill had not been cleaned in so long that it broke out into a fire. When communicated these problems with the host, the response was I’m sorry for the inconvenience. We will have our handyman fix it after you leave. Frankly, I wanted it fixed while we were there. They also did not provide the necessary materials for cleaning dishes....

« THE CABIN WAS CLEAN AND WELL STOCKED, PERFECTLY AS DESCRIBED. LOVED THE HOT TUB! LOCATION WAS GREAT FOR WHAT WE INTENDED THE WEEKEND TO BE, RELAXING BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE ENTERTAINMENT AS NEEDED. »

« Absolutely loved this little cabin! It was the perfect romantic getaway that my husband and I needed. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Anytime we had a question or needed assistance, the host responded quickly and was incredibly helpful—something we really appreciated.The cabin itself is beautiful, and the bed comfortable. « The deck and fire pit was pretty much where we stayed most of the time. Loved the views and having morning coffee outside! Cacapon State park was so very close and beautiful! My friend went fishing there, as well! Loved having access to a grill and to the hot tub. So many birds to enjoy listening to, as well! »

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the long weekend! We had 3 generations together celebrating birthdays. The house is spacious yet log cabin cozy in the woods-remote but not too remote. The piano was an added bonus!! We enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit and morning coffee /meals on the deck. Lots of games! Cacapon State Park is a hop, skip and jump away and we hiked each day exploring nature and beautiful views. Cacapon also has a nice gift shop and a cute beach, we never made it to the beach...

« We had everything we could ever need, all with a personal touch that felt so welcoming and with modern convenience. Many tabletop game options and a well-stocked kitchen and grill, so that you can enjoy being off the grid with a little luxury. The dogs loved their dog blankets and large dog beds and taking in the mountain air with us on the deck. To end our stay, we grabbed some firewood and timber and made ourselves a cozy fire in the fire pit. A truly great stay. »

« It’s a peaceful place in the woods. The hot tub was great, and with the provided kitchenware and space we were able to make our own meals. Perfect for a slow, outdoorsy getaway to unwind and reflect. »

« Spent Easter weekend with my family at the cabin. Very comfortable cabin in a great location. Peaceful nights relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub. Local area offers great opportunities for hiking. Excellent communication with the owners during our stay. Would definitely stay here again. »

« We stayed here for our anniversary. The area itself is gorgeous. The town is full of things to do. Definitely somewhere for more of a leisurely vacation instead of jam-packed. We love the house the positioning of the hot tub so that you can watch TV was perfect. We definitely want to come back probably in the summer so that we can utilize the pool and bring friends just so we can introduce them to the area because we loved it so much. out of 10 highly recommend this location »
