If you get a room facing 6th street area/ pub crawl area, be aware that you may not sleep until 2am due to loud music. If the hotel is sold out, you’re out of luck like in my case

Hyatt House Austin/Downtown
An absolutely excellent choice for a three-night stay to explore the city. Many attractions are within walking distance. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good. The only downside is the proximity to the party district, as it gets terribly loud for half the night.
