This is a no frills, no extra comforts older house. Good if you have kids and you’re OK with microfiber sheets, platform beds and polyester pillows. The house did not feel homey. I never found a dish towel in the kitchen, there was not a box of Kleenex anywhere, the floor rugs were visibly dirty, and the bathrooms were dusty. When we arrived the house was 79 degrees on a warm day. I nearly panicked when I couldn’t figure out the thermostat. Fortunately our host was very communicative. She adjusted the thermostat right then reading my message right away. It took me another day to figure it out for myself. I didn’t have a car and walked to a near-by CVS for food. I found nothing else within walking distance. We were not planning to cook here, and I would not say the kitchen had a lot to work with other than a nice coffee set up which was appreciated! The other positives were that 2 people could sit on the back deck (small with only 2 chairs), and there were games for kids such as a fooseball table in the kitchen and a couple lawn games. This would be a great rental for a small family with kids. However it lists that it sleeps 10. One room has a queen bed, the other has a king, and the third has 2 twin beds. The second bathroom is very small. We had 3, but this house would be very full with 6 people. I give the host 5 stars for communicating immediately when we had a problem in the middle of our stay and coming over to resolve our issue.
