I reached out the first night because multiple advertised amenities were not available. The front desk while very nice was unable to assist.
I tried reaching someone via the phone numbers published just to get AvantStay… not the actual person at the property.
Arrival was a disaster, but once we finally got checked in, the room was nice.
But we were very disappointed to find the rooftop lounge area advertised was an AI rendering.
We love promoting boutique hotels and honestly we prefer them to the mundane run of the mill chains that are all the same. We are also in the film industry and have been considering the idea of purchasing a condo.
However, when bringing these issues to the attention of the Code, stall tactics were used to delay any resolution and we were finally told that the hotel would reach out to us within two days of checkout - we are well traveled and know a brush off when we hear/read/see one - we gave the Code an opportunity to do the right thing - which they did not.
So… unfortunately we cannot recommend this hotel and will not recommend it to other film industry companies, members, and professionals, whether local or from other areas and markets such as Los Angeles, New York, Europe, Japan, and so forth.
It was a great idea in theory… but perhaps they should have delayed opening for 6 months until they finished ironing out many issues.
