« Fantastic stay. Please dont be put off by the lack of reviews on here. Myself and 3 friends had a brilliant long weekend. The cottage is nicely decorated and very clean. Bedding and towels were included (the description for the cottage says otherwise, but they are there). A full working kitchen with all the equipment you need. The log burner was set up and ready to go to. The only thing missing was shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, so take that with you. Everywhere else was very well...

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rope Makers Croft. The croft is a short walk from Litton, where you'll find an excellent community-run shop and the superb Red Lion. The croft itself was perfect for us - there was plenty of space for two whilst still being cosy and warm (it was a chilly weekend!). The kitchen area is well equipped, the living area was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the rainforest shower. All in all superb. We are already looking at making a return...

« Tideswell is a magnificent village in the heart of The Peak District, with 3 central pubs and an abundance of good countryside walking within easy reach (we covered 26 miles over 2 days). Amber Villa is ideally located in the village centre, and it is clean, spacious, tastefully furnished & decorated ... a definite 5-star review. »

« Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins. »

« Spent 4 nights in this lovely, comfortable and well equipped property. Great location with walks from the door and well placed to explore the Holme Valley, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Coal Mining Museum and for wandering off to the Peak District. Also convenient for Huddersfield. Quiet location minutes from Almondbury where there are shops, pubs cafe and also from Farnley Tyas and it’s pub. Note: the property is on a bus route to Huddersfield. Would we stay again? Definitely »
