An OK stay
Staff and catering were excellent, with daily bedroom tidy and turndown. Room 2 at the top of the hotel has low sloping ceilings, and the room generally looks in need of a refurbish. Windows dirty, and latch not operating very well. Power shower over bath, difficult to control temperature without it fluctuating. Parking in the space provided at the rear of the hotel is difficult, access road and spaces very cramped.

One night stop-over
This was a one night stop-over while visiting Bangor. Lovely hotel in a great location, Quick friendly reception and we were quickly in our room. The room was adequate for our needs and was suitably provided for with everything we needed. Breakfast is table service lovely dinning room and was outstanding. The only down side is the parking can be hard to find and difficult to get into when you find a space.

Great location close to all amenities and the sea. Really good breakfast and had dinner 2 nights out of 3 both excellent.. Staff friendly and helpful enjoyed our stay and would definitely return😎

The room was small and the sink was in the bedroom not in the bathroom which was inconvenient , the beams were low so bumping your head was a problem . Food is lovely and the staff are really friendlycand helpful.

A clean,cheap and cheerless but tired hotel which is long overdue a revamp .The access to the room at the top of the hotel if your over 3ft high would mean you have to get on your knees to open & close the lock on the door so not suitable for the able let alone the disabled. A adequate cooked breakfast that was swimming in baked beans Very limited chaotic parking at the rear which you have to share with people who are not staying in the hotel but dining in there in the evening so you end up parking on the road if you go out in the evening A very rude and unapologetic owner who will constantly call your room to ask you to move your car forward a couple of inches even though your car is quite clearly not the issue

Fantastic hotel
This is a lovely hotel. I stayed for two nights as a solo, female business traveller. The hotel feels very safe, is warm and cosy and the staff are great. The room I had was spacious and the shower was really easy to use, (which is a huge plus for me!) There was instant hot water from the taps in the sink as well. The only thing I would add to the room as a business traveller is a wee desk to work at, but that is only a small thing for me and there is a nice lounge downstairs to use if needed. The food here is exceptional. I normally like to go for a wander out to find places to eat in the evening, but there was no need here and people come to the hotel to eat, which speaks for itself. Based on my experience, I do not hesitate to recommend the Bishopsgate House Hotel and I will definitely try to get in here again when I am back in the area, and might even bring my husband back here for some R&R.

Comfortable, Close to the Waterfront
Well positioned close to the waterfront, very helpful and friendly staff. This was a business trip and stayed in the single room. The bed and, most importantly the pillows, very comfortable. A bit noisy from restaurant/bar downstairs but easily sorted with earplugs. I needed to leave early before breakfast was being served so was provided with a packed lunch which was waiting for me outside my room.

Excellent place to stay
This hotel is perfect. It’s small, friendly, perfect location in the heart of Beaumaris and very welcoming. Our room was spacious with a four poster bed and a view of the sea. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order. We ate in the restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was beautiful. There is a small cosy bar to relax in and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Hazel who owns the hotel is very knowledgeable of the Island and recommended places to visit which was very helpful. People staying at other hotels in Beaumaris we’re using the bar and restaurant at this hotel which speaks for itself. This hotel is a little gem and we will definitely return to stay here again. A big thumbs up 👍

Old fashioned charm
The strengths of Bishopgate are its old fashioned charm and its friendly team. Breakfast is cooked to order and each item is cooked to perfection. Dinner again excels in well cooked classics. I'm sure time will bring update to bathrooms in 21st century style whilst at present all works well in 80s mode. Enjoy this comforting experience for a short break
