« This property was exceptional, and the Penrod’s were gracious hosts. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of nature, or if you enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and everything outdoors, this place is for you! Sharing this experience with my 3 teenage kids, I never heard once that they didn’t have anything to do. They loved it here and the amenities were everything we needed! »

« Our multi-generational “camp-cation” at Evergreen Hideaway- an original 1700s barn faithfully converted into a cozy residence, complete with a thoughtful 1990s addition—was nothing short of magical!!From the moment we arrived with 9 adventurous kids and 5 adults in tow, we were met with a peaceful, serene setting nestled in the woods. « We had a great stay - the cabin was well stocked and clean. We mostly stayed outdoors and enjoyed the incredible view, it rained quite a bit but we didn't mind because the covered porch was a perfect place to sit and immerse yourself in nature. Great location to relax and unwind! »

« Gorgeous views from a wonderful cabin! We enjoyed hiking in the mornings followed by relaxing afternoons on the back porch. Plentiful shade in the afternoons and evenings as well as cool mountain temps and breezes. »

« The house was very nice every one who came loved it we loved hanging out in the hot tub and on the deck. It’s perfect place for you and for friends to have a great time awesome privacy from the other houses and we had an amazing time. »

« Absolutely fantastic! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and the view is phenomenal. We had five adults and had a great time with the outdoor games. Would be suitable for kids as well. We didn't want to leave and would absolutely stay again as we had a great stay and enjoyed every minute. Hosts were also great - they were immediately responsive to our needs (only needed a new propane tank for the grill) and so friendly. »

The house was as described...it was unbelievably clean, the bedrooms were ample size, the living, kitchen/dining areas were just right and the porches, fire pit area and hot tub patio were perfect. The sound of the stream and crackling fire were so relaxing. We hope to visit again. »

« House was very cozy and nicely appointed/equipped. Nice location, even though there are multiple houses in close proximity, it was very quiet and peaceful. Tonya was good to deal with. We had one small issue with a leak in the roof during a torrential downpour that stopped as soon as the extreme rain did. All in all, nice and peaceful weekend. »

« What a great property and home. We saw all kinds of wildlife there. The home has a lot of information of what to do around the Bedford area. Clean and comfortable place to stay. Just remember to bring bug spray, the area all around has a lot of mosquitoes even in Bedford. »

« Code to the key was wrong. I texted the manager and he showed up withing 3 min to resolve the issue!!! Cabin is simple and cute!!! Super clean rooms and towels!!! »

« It was a beautiful quiet cabin. I would definitely go back again. The rooms were comfy and spacious. Water pressure great lol. Me and my friends went up there just to get a couple days away from the city life and it was well worth it. »

« We stayed for 3 nights. Secluded cabin on the side of a hill up a gravel road from the main road. You could see neighbors, but they were not close. This made it very peaceful to sleep and sit on the great front porch. Although it felt remote, we were less than 10 minutes away from the main entrance to Lake Raystown and 20 or 30 minutes from the Allegrippis mountain biking trails. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for my family of four and would have fit more...
