Great place but I didn’t realize it only had a rain water collection system. The water is at the street so hopefully that changes soon. Minus 1 star until treated water is hooked up.

This was the perfect getaway. Close enough to drive up and down the keys but secluded enough you feel like you are in your own little world. Spent many hours out on the boat dock taking in the views and the wildlife. Sunsets on the dock are amazing. House is beautiful and on a dead end road. 45 minutes to Key West and 2 hours to Key Largo was perfectly situated for us.

We enjoyed our stay, and all as advertised. Dock was fun to snorkel around. House was stocked but kitchen needs a good cleaning and organizing. Water pipe broke as soon as we tried to do laundry and flooded the downstairsOther drawbacks were the challenge of not having water for boat cleaning after day on water, and pretty buggy.

Perfect location, but house in dire need of repairs

The location was perfect, pristine waters, long dock, peaceful, absolutely beautiful setting. The house had many issues, from ac that took forever to cool, to window crank handles (4) that either fell off in your hand or just didn’t work, slider screens were missing, wouldn’t close/open or just fell off, drywall all over ceiling cracked and pieces that fell down on the floor, filthy pans put away in cabinets, pocket doors in bedroom and bathroom wouldn’t close. Property manager responded immediately and agreed to refund the money, so I applaud her for her part. This place just needs owner to give much needed tlc. It’s a fantastic location with views to die for but in extreme disrepair. I will be looking for another rental in the same area, but for the price, not this one.

If you like seclusion this is your place!

Just got back from an amazing stay at torchview. The property grounds are so well cared for and the wildlife is a bonus! The house is in a great location, I would definitely advise a boating app such as navtronics to assist with low tide since the channel markers are gone. The dock is phenomenal and the sunsets were gorgeous. We were on our boat everyday but I think younger kids would so enjoy the artificial reef under the dock. We saw tons of fish and several lobsters, and an eel. We caught black fin tuna and snapper almost every day. The kitchen is a beautiful gathering spot to chat with family while cooking. This is the perfect space if you are looking to disconnect. So quiet!! We also brought our paddleboards with us and enjoyed the sights around the channel. I would 100% recommend this place to an active family! Kayaks or paddleboards would make this destination even better! We all loved our time here! My oldest son asked his girlfriend to marry him on the dock so this place will always be remembered fondly!

Secluded Haven

The space is wonderful. Large rooms, beautiful location, beautifully maintained grounds, and very clean inside the unit. Unfortunately the outdoor grill was very dirty and the two lounge chairs were ripped and unusable. The outdoor chairs and tables were fine. Be prepared for some glorious sunsets. Signage inside the house was at odds with the online information regarding check out. WiFi network name and password were incorrect online and so is what is posted in the house. Use the information on the router (requires standing on a chair to see) for the correct information. The kitchen is well stocked. The dock and beach (?) area are fantastic. Launching kayaks is a breeze! We all had a wonderful trip.

Not worth the cost

My family and I spent Christmas here, the house was dirty (I spent the first 2 hr cleaning it). Bed in master was not too bad but my kids completed that there's was uncomfortable. Very dated house.. The dock was the best part of the home, we were able to fish and snorkel off the dock and the kids loved that. All in all if the price was way less it would be worth it to stay but not for what we paid.

Really great spot!!

We had a great stay this year at this location. It is so secluded and peaceful. As mentioned in other reviews, the property is a little dated but it didn't bother us at all as it was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pans and dishes you would need. The only minor complaint we have is about the outdoor seating. The loungers are really beat up--dripping rust water when you moved them and ripped chairs. We would have also loved more seating options outside on the lower level/dock. We would love to return someday!

Beautifully Tucked Away Paradise

This property is fantastic! The location is off the beaten path enough for privacy but also close enough to anything you could want (groceries, restaurants, bait and more). The dock is fantastic and easily accommodated our boat. Tons of fish can be caught right off the dock and watching the key deer run through the yard in the evenings is amazing. Highly recommend! Just make sure you bring a head lamp to enjoy the dock area at night.

Slice of Paradise

This home was perfect for our vacation. We rented a boat for 4 days, but only used it for 2 days. The home had everything we needed so there was no need to venture off. We stayed on the dock the majority of the time. We snorkeled, paddleboard, and fished. In person, the property was way more beautiful! The home was super clean. We are hoping to rent again!
