I would only recommend this cabin for those who can move around easily, as the central staircase gets plenty of use. The office team at Log Country Cove is very helpful and makes it easy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Log Country Cove and we love the Steen. You have to be able to navigate the spiral staircase but its right on the water and has the best balcony that makes you feel like you're in the trees. Every day we went kayaking, enjoyed playing games in the several shaded sitting areas, and the kids played on the swings or jumped on the water trampoline. The people are so friendly and its the perfect get-away for families.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'll start by saying the ladies I dealt with in the office were awesome. I like to joke with everybody, and they matched me. I loved it. The cabin was awesome. My daughter and grandson were excited about the spiral stair case as was I. But, I discovered at my age, it wasn't practical. But, there was plenty of doors that got me outside. The place is outstanding with local places to eat that are amazing. Log Country Cove is very welcoming and a GREAT place to take your family. Enjoy!!!!

Great Get away!

If you are looking for peace and quite this is the place. We stayed in February so not sure about summer. We loved the charm of the whole place. We loved the privacy we had. Enjoyed the geese as well.

The cabin was clean and in a great location by the lake. I chose it over other options because the listing mentioned a hot tub, which was actually a bathtub with jets. WiFi info wasn’t provided at check-in, but the host responded the next day and noted the listing would be updated. Aside from those issues, the stay was nice.

It was so well-maintained, clean, cute and right on the water. We loved it. We are in our mid 70s and it was fine with the corner staircase. Just watch that last step into the kitchen. Ha ha.

Wi-Fi and DirectTV and AC worked great. Lots of activities available through Log Country Cove resort. Top-floor bedroom with lots of privacy. Adorable kitchen on the main level, and comfy sitting room w/ TV in the lower level. Perfect location close to area wineries, Marble Falls, and Kingsland. There are two spiral staircases. We were able to navigate them with no problems.

A Nice Getaway Spot

We were here on weekdays in the off season, so there were very few people at Log Country Cove. It was quiet and there was no problem getting kayaks, etc. The cabin is very clean and well maintained in general. The lock on the door to the outside is a bit tricky and often required a few attempts to get it open. The spiral staircase is about as narrow as one can possibly be, so it helps to be a narrow person when climbing it! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. We plan to return!

Quiet Retreat

I’ve never been to the area so was quite surprised by the beauty of the lake, the grounds, and WOW! do they have log cabins. Steen had everything we needed for our short stay. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to make breakfast. Kuerig and coffee pot but I forgot the coffee. A short walk to the office and we were greeted by friendly staff and a cup of coffee. The events building had a rustic elegant charm and was a perfect fit for the character of the bride and groom. I hope I have the opportunity to come back for another stay.

Rustic Log Cabin. The Steen

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Likely my fault for not noticing the metal spiral stairs to reach upstairs bedroom and downstairs living room. Which is very inconvenient to carry anything up or down. Stairs are VERY small and dangerous to navigate. Cabin is very drafty and had to set heat to 83 to keep chill out. Parking is 75 yards away, and it’s squeekier than a 100 year old cabin in Colorado. Lastly, water pressure was so low in shower I had to run around in a circle to get wet. Cannot recommend this cabin, however rest of property and staff are great.

Cute Cabin with a Great View!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This one-bedroom cabin (The Steen) was perfect for our Anniversary get-away! We loved sitting on the balcony watching boats go by, kids swimming, and we also saw turtles and fish swimming too. We liked that our cabin was within walking distance to the office, commons area, and beach where we launched out in kayaks for a relaxing paddle through the cove.When it got too hot outside, we enjoyed watching movies in the living room on the first floor. The couch was even long enough for my 6-foot-tall husband to stretch out on, while I enjoyed the rocking recliner. The small kitchen on the second floor was plenty big for the 2 of us. The bedroom being on the 3rd floor made it feel like we were sleeping in a treehouse - so fun! It was a bit of a challenge getting our luggage up and down the steep, tight spiral staircase, but we managed. FYI, this cabin would not be good for someone with knee-trouble, since the bathroom is on the third floor.All the staff and other guests were very friendly and the entire resort was so beautiful and well-kept. We would like to come back and bring our whole family.
