However, upon arrival, we found that the sheets and bathroom rugs had not been properly cleaned, and there were no extra linens available. This caused a significant delay in settling in late at night. « We spent the New Years holiday at Salty Bear cabin and had a lovely stay. While the cabin is charmingly rustic, it was not lacking in modern comforts. The heating worked well. « Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids.
