Great House for Large Family

It was a great house for our family of 15. The boathouse is a definite plus for families with teens or older. The game room got a lot of use for nighttime ping pong and air hockey tournaments. House was clean and the grill was surprisingly immaculate. One a quiet street that is walkable/runnable, and only 10 minutes from anything you need.

Early Thanksgiving reunion

We had a very amazing stay at this property. The house was very well equipped for a VRBO. We enjoyed all the amenities, the fire pit, the game room, and the technology was up-to-date and plenty full for all to enjoy. The kitchen was better equipped than most of the VRBO’s we have stayed in in the past we are looking forward to renting again in the summer so we can also enjoy the lake

Lazy Lakeside Reset

Ponderosa Circle was relaxing and enjoyable, my only regret is not staying more days so I could take more advantage of Lake Norman. The sunrise and sunset over the lake iff the back deck was mesmerizing, highly recommended.

A Great Lake House!

This house is in a great location, has an amazing yard and has a comfortable lay out. The large dining table allowed for big family dinners. Southern Charm properties were incredibly communicative and generously made our stay really easy. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

With family coming from all over the country this was the perfect place to gather!! Everything we needed was there, and everyone had a bed! The house is beautiful. The sunsets were incredible! Enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to be back!! Thank you!!

Prime location - great house!

House was great for hosting our family for Thanksgiving. Lots of seating and gathering space, great kitchen, and huge yard for activities. There is a guest suite if anyone wants additional privacy. One note: the listing had fireplace as an amenity at the time I booked, but the fireplaces in this house are not functional.

Relaxing Retreat

Beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood. House was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen could use some updating but was very clean. Beds were all very comfortable. Property manager quick to answer any questions. Very easy check in and out. Enjoyed two bluebird families visiting us everyday. Thanks for a great weekend!

2nd Stay at Ponderosa escape

This was our second time visiting the property. We visited last June and we had so much fun we had to return and share with more of our family! The management team was great with communication and let us know upon arrival that the washing machine was broken and had it replaced within a day. Check in process was effortless and the house was clean and comfortable upon arrival ( guest house as well). We rented a boat for a day and having the dock available was a huge plus so we could switch kids out right at the property. We also loved the upgrades that were done to the property since our last visit, new paint and flooring, seemed the dock may have gotten a new coat of sealant as well. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. I was searching for a vacation rental as we were coming to celebrate our grandsons graduation from NASCAR Technology Institute . This was a new experienced & this was the 1st house that came up on the sight I was searching on & I immediately wanted this house & it was close to my grandsons residence. We were never far from shopping, boating, gas , groceries etc. Any time we needed or had questions on anything we were able to call Doug. House had plenty of everything we needed. The lake was gorgeous at night. There was plenty of sleeping rooms, bathrooms, huge deck, & grill that was accessible & laundry room. I would recommend this property to anyone for rent. Was very happy that anytime I was corresponding I always got an answer from Doug within a few hours or minutes. He always answered my questions on any matter i was concerned with. Will miss the beauty as I left for our return home. My whole family throughly enjoyed & any other guests. The comment from them was WOW !!! They didn't even know this place exsisted & they live in Mooresville.. North Carolina is a beautiful state. Thank you Doug for everything, Patty

Winter gathering at Ponderosa Point lakehouse

I rented over the Christmas/New Years break 2024. The property is lovely with a main house plus a separate efficiency-like space over the boathouse and we (3 families) used it all. We all appreciated the special touch with Christmas decorations added just for us. The buildings are not new so there were some minor problems that the owners probably weren't aware of. But from my positive experience when I contacted AvantStay I'm sure they will be fixed before the next guests. I have rented from VRBO for years and have never rented one that provided everything we needed. Often these big homes forget that large groups might include children. This one had plenty of china dishware but also plenty of unbreakable cups and dishes. Maybe a small detail but I can't think of one thing we needed in the kitchen that we didn't eventually find. We had plenty of space even though the December weather kept us inside more than I would have liked. The spacious decks are where I would have spent all my time had we rented in a warmer time. The boathouse is not heated and I had to call the customer service number for help, which arrived within an hour. Robert not only helped me get the space heater on but left us two additional space heaters which we did use many times. I suspect the house is rented mainly during warm times when you could take advantage of the water. On the other hand I think because we were vacationing during the off season we had no problem getting seats at restaurants.

Beautiful view

This property had a beautiful view of the lake from a deck and patio and was well furnished. Having a dock and kayaks were a plus. But the wooden walkway to the end of the dock is not well-maintained and can be treacherous for children or anyone with balance or vision limitations. Showers also have no handholds for getting in and out. The maintenance company responded promptly to our report that the washing machine didn't work and we needed more towels.

Nice water view

House needs allot of work,painting inside and out, rotten wood etc. Separate house needs new air conditioning never got cooler than 80.And it has a Bad musty odor from mildew. Other than that house was very clean and efficient nice waterview.

Bach Party at the Lake

Property was as described. Great space for the guys included in our party. The additional guest house was great to have access to. The yard was great for any game you could possibly want to play. Can’t beat lakefront house on LKN!! We had a great time.

Summer Stay

12 of us stayed for 5 nights. The house was as advertised. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 7 kids. All bedding and linens were clean when we arrived. Could have used a few more towels for the bathrooms and for the kitchen but there was plenty of clean beach towels available. The house could use a dust pan, there was a paper plate cut in half in the closet in its place… made it a little difficult to clean up. Definitely would visit again.
