Shepherds Cottage - Spacious cottage with sea views

  • Beautiful detached stone cottage on the outskirts of Beadnell village with sea and countryside views. Set in a large garden Shepherds Cottage has 4 large bedrooms all ensuite and plenty of living space for all of the guests - The lounge has views across the fields to the sea and has a wood fired stove, there is a formal dining room and seating area which leads into the large conservatory with a dining table which sits 12 and sofas for you to relax and enjoy the sunsets. The spacious farmhouse kitchen has seating for 10 and enjoys views over the garden.

    Bedrooms:

    1. Family bedroom with Superking bed and 1 single bed. - ensuite with jacuzzi bath
    2. Twin bedded room with balcony - ensuite with shower
    3. Double room with garden views - ensuite with shower
    4 Family room with king size bed and single bed - balcony - ensuite with shower

    In the garden there is a fully kitted out games room with full size snooker table, pool table and table tennis table and an indoor BBQ hut seating 10. The garden is fully enclosed so perfect for children and dogs. The beach is 15 minutes walk away through the village. There are other properties in the grounds which can be rented together for larger groups

Outstanding Holiday Cottage

Shepherd’s Cottage provides everything you could want from a holiday cottage. The cottage and gardens are beautiful, extremely clean, well equipped, great sized rooms all with ensuites and fantastic eating and relaxation areas. Perfect for a large group with easy access to Beadnell and surrounding areas. The games room topped it off and provided fun entertainment for the whole family. Sam and the team couldn’t do more to help and the amazing welcome hamper was a lovely surprise at the start of our stay. I would definitely recommend Shepherd’s Cottage and we are already planning our next visit!

Holiday with family and friends

Wow this place is amazing Front the front it looks like a normal bungalow but when you go in it’s wonderful So many rooms, games room and barbecue hit outside too in the large garden We loved it so much we have booked again

Great week

A brilliant cottage for a bigger group. We even had the other Mains properties next door so a group of 21 for a party was catered for on the weekend. A great location for walks or even a drive to Alnwick. We walked to Beadnall beach, Seahouses ( a good walk!) breakfast at 'The landing ' which was lovely and a shorter walk for Sunday lunch to ' Beadnell Towers' which was absolutely delicious! We have stayed at Shepherds Cottage before and noticed some new things this time. New bedroom set ups and freshly painted decor, larger pans for cooking, and the garden is looking lovelier. We love the Cottage, especially sitting in the conservatory or the garden. We saw many birds, a little rabbit and even a visiting (or lost ha) lamb in the car park one morning. (which Stephen quickly sorted back home). Our family dog had the best time too, loving the freedom of the safe large garden. Can't wait to return. We think good value when you remember it sleeps 10.

Another fabulous stay

Just back from another week at the Cottage, Lodge & Bothy. It’s the ideal place for a family gathering, we had 15 adults, 4 kids and 4 dogs! Everyone had a great time, the cottages have everything you need and we always enjoy our time here. Weather was great for us and we even managed a swim in the sea everyday. Hope to return next year!

A perfect location for a family gathering

The cottage is bigger than i imagined and really well arranged two families with little children and granparents. Great garden , huge games room and bbq hut kept everyone happy.

Our second stay in this beautiful property, hosts are lovely and can't do enough for you. Wonderfully spacious and well equipped with lovely comfy beds. Highly recommended.

Family break

Great layout for extended family holiday, bed and pillows were spot on, one of the few places I have stayed where the bed and pillows suited me perfectly. Games room was fantastic and got a lot of use by all the family, having the separate conservatory, TV room and reading room as well as the games room meant if anyone wanted alone space they didn’t need to go to their bedroom which was great for those doing the odd bit of work while there.

Spectacular cottage in fabulous location

Perfect cottage to stay in as a family whilst celebrating my daughter's wedding in the area which is my childhood home. The house is simply stunning and huge! Would definitely try to book again!

Lovely cottage for a big family gathering with dogs and kids - totally enclosed big garden so dogs and kids can run free - lots of inside and outside seating and tables for meals, and for people to do their own thing - 20 minutes walk to a lovely beach - brilliant games room Altogether highly recommended

Beautiful family cottage

Beautiful cottage great location 8 adults and 2 dogs , there was enough room to have time on your own if you wanted to . The indoor BBQ was great used it on a rainy day games room was a bonus’s for those night in . The cottage had everything you needed very comfortable beds great seating area .

The Heald Clan

A brilliant cottage in a good location,We as a famliy had a great time there, from cooking in the barbecue hut to spending time in the games room, the first I've seen on a guest cottage with a full size snooker table. Our granddaughter loved playing in tge spacious garden. A huge thanks to our host Samamtha and the team for providing a welcoming space for our holiday.

lovely family Christmas holiday

A lovely spacious house. Ideal for bringing the family together. The games room was a huge hit. The garden was perfect for the dogs. Beautiful views. Lovely cosy lounge with the fire. Lovely farmhouse kitchen. A very homely feel about the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.The kitchen was well equipped although i always take a few of my own bits and pieces. I would recommend an oven thermometer as it is hard to read the dials. I am not used to a halogen hob but we managed. Lovely big fridge and freezer. Lots of seating areas for people to chill. Although this is essentially a bungalow there are steep steps down to the patio area and games room and a few steps in the house. The step down into the conservatory got me every blooming time, must be an age thing as i was the oldest in our family party. The games room is a fabulous asset although the serious players wished they had taken their own snooker cue and heavier darts ha ha. Towels are provided but we bought a couple of extra tea towels.We had a wonderful stay and i would definitely recommend this house to any of my friends.

Lovely house for family celebration

Shepherd’s cottage is comfortable and deceptively spacious. Conservatory is beautiful, Games room is incredible and snooker and pool tables are as new. Bathrooms need an upgrade but I believe that’s going to happen in the near future. All in all a good choice for our family get- together!

Loved it!

Loved staying here, 4 adults 3 kids and 3 dogs. Cottage had everything we needed and a big garden for dogs and kids. The kids loved the games room which is a super addition to any holiday. A great location for exploring…we went to Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh beaches. The newly refurbished rooms were stunning! Will definitely be back one day. Sam and family are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

Fantastic large family stay

We loved the layout and overall size of the property, not to mention the games room and BBQ pit in the garden. We couldn't have found a better location especially given the poor weather we experienced. It's got everything you need for a stay and we had a great time each and every day. There was the odd spot of dust here and there (under the beds) and a few cupboard doors need some attention but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

A very dirty kitchen

The kitchen / all utensils / glasses etc were very very dirty. I had to clean everything before it was used. We arrived to the dishwasher full of dirty dishes. The dishwasher filter was blocked with food. Not an acceptable reply from owner when feedback given.
