Wonderful stay in the Cotswolds

We had a lovely time at Bill's Cottage, it was perfect for our family trip. Lots of room for everyone and added bonus of a relaxing garden. A great location, peaceful and quiet but easy to get to many other Cotswolds towns. Really appreciate the welcome items, including bread and a fantastic VIctoria sponge! We loved our time here and would love to visit again.

Bill’s Cottage

A lovely long weekend as a family! The extra touches provided on arrival by Mary (a freshly-baked cake as well as eggs, bread and milk) made us feel at home. The enclosed garden was great for both humans and dogs and the large lounge is great for relaxing in too. Overall a super area for a holiday and would thoroughly recommend the cottage.

Excellent cottage, lovely location

Bill's cottage is lovely! Beautiful location with lots to see and do locally. We are a family of five adults and the cottage was perfect for us - good layout, clean and comfortable, very well presented and equipped and has plenty of hot water. The garden is beautifully kept and surrounded by fields. It was a lovely weekend and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Fabulous cottage

Bills Cottage is perfect, the views from the cottage are just wonderful. Mary who owns the property was lovely, a lovely cake and other goodies made for a nice welcome. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen ahs everything you need for your stay. We walked to North leach which is about 35min walk through a lovely village and across beautiful scenery. We also cycled along the Windrush valley form the cottage, very quiet roads and a lovely café at Sherborne.

Idyllic & peaceful beautiful location

Bills place is a gem of a cottage hidden away. Mary is a lovely host & made the most delicious cake. Fresh farm eggs & milk too greeted us on arrival. It’s clean , well equipped kitchen & fantastic garden which is a real sun trap. Good size bedrooms & very comfy beds.

Fabulous stay in a brilliant location!

Bills cottage was just perfect for my family and I. Mary the host was super useful and friendly when we arrived with some home made touches such a freshly baked cake, eggs and bread. The cottage itself is in a fabulous location, Northleach, Bourton on the water and stow on the wold all very close just a few miles drive. The cottage was super clean, welcoming and cosy - we are already talking about our next trip to the cottage next year.

Clean, cosy and welcoming

Perfectly placed cottage for a family get together. Clean and comfortable accommodation for 6 adults, a toddler and a large dog. Lovely welcome touches with milk, bread, eggs, tea and coffee and a super cake. Lots of walks and places to visit within easy walking or driving distance and a well equipped kitchen for family meal times. Thoroughly recommend the cottage and its friendly owner who lives next door.

A wonderful retreat in the countryside

The cottage is on a very quiet rural lane with pleasant walks straight from the door. it is right in the middle of open countryside - we saw partridges, pheasants, deer and Red Kites as well as the smaller birds who fed at the feeder. We were very impressed by the cottage itself - the rooms were all good sizes, it had all the facilities that we needed, and the heating kept it very warm (we went in Oct). There was a big television in the lounge, and a fast internet connection. The welcome goodies included a lovely touch of a sponge cake, along with bread, milk, eggs from the farm, and logs for the fire. The owner was very helpful when we met her. All in all, we thoroughtly enjoyed our stay here.

Exceptional in every way

Bills cottage is in a perfect location. Rural views all around, peaceful & quiet but not far off the beaten track & easy to find. It is very central for the whole of the Cotswolds. Clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Hard to beat. Some very welcoming finishing touches (fresh flowers, homemade cake etc). The owner was very friendly, welcoming and informative. Highly recommended.

Ideal Base For Cotswolds

Had a wonderful week staying at Bills Cottage. Mary was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival and the little extras such as cake and fresh eggs were very welcome. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds. Bourton, Burford and Cirencester (to name a few) all within a 20 minute drive. The cottage was so peaceful and relaxing, our dog loved the garden. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great week. Would definitely consider returning if we return to the area. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely stay at Bill’s Cottage

We were a family of 6 (3 generations) with a baby and a dog and found the space in the cottage really good. The main living room and kitchen having lots of space. The utility room with washing machine facilities was an added bonus with a small baby in the party. The garden was fabulous to sit in, especially during late evening. The surrounding area was perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. We loved Northleach and in particular the Sherborne Arms has to recommended as an exceptional place to get food, in a lovely relaxed “pub setting”. We loved our stay at Bill’s Cottage!

A v nice long weekend

Bill's cottage was a lovely property, v well equipped and ideal for our short family get-away (parents, daughter, grandchild and dog) and in a v quiet location. The owner was v friendly and helpful and provided some introductory food items such as bread, milk, eggs from the farm and a delicious home-made sponge cake. She even provided a packet of polos for us to give to the horse in the adjacent field who would come for his treat over the fence in the early evening. There were lots of interesting places to visit nearby plus plenty of pubs for meals in the area. It made a v nice venue for a family get-together for a long weekend.

A few minor niggles but overall a lovely stay at Bill's

We had a lovely stay at Bill's Cottage. Unfortunately the address provided by Bolthole is incorrect which resulted in us having to make a 30 minute detour so please double check this with the owners when booking! The welcome cake, eggs and milk was a lovely touch and we thoroughly enjoyed our tea and cake upon arrival. Place was very clean and homely. Kids loved feeding Finn the horse next door. There is a nespresso machine but no coffee pods provided so bring your own if you want this. Unfortunately the smoke alarm battery went off multiple times on the last night resulting in disrupted sleep but no one's fault.

We loved our stay. We dream of returning again in the near future.

We loved our stay at Bill's Cottage, a beautifully converted farm house warm and spacious with all the facilities you could think of in a gentle countryside. Mary thoughtfully had a lovely Victoria Sponge , Fresh Eggs, Butter, Loaf of Bread & Milk left for us in a well equipped kitchen. Not to mention Poly Mints to treat Fin a very gentle & friendly neighbouring horse. Bright & spacious Sitting Room with 3 sofas, a Large TV , free WiFi, great choice of Books to read and Board Games to play with. Relaxing Bedrooms with comfortable beds. A pure heaven on earth , all spotlessly clean. We dream of returning again in the near future. Thank you

Everything you could hope for in a property

We had the most amazing week away at Bill’s Cottage. The house was absolutely immaculate, very well equipped and Mary had provided such lovely treats (beautiful sponge cake, fresh eggs, milk & bread) on arrival. We had our toddler with us and Mary had thoughtfully put up a travel cot with lovely fresh blankets which our daughter loved and slept in beautifully. The house is fantastic if you are visiting with small children (lots of plastic bowls, cups, cutlery etc for children, as well as a stair gate, fire guard, highchair and travel cot). It was such a joy to stay in the cottage, which is very well positioned for exploring many areas in the Cotswolds. We will definitely rebook when visiting the area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic holiday cottage

We had the most wonderful long weekend at Bill’s Cottage in April. The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped, with absolutely everything we needed. There’s plenty of space and everything is well laid out. The homemade cake and local treats on arrival were very welcome and we loved Finn the horse visiting over the gate each day. A truly wonderful stay, amazing host and great location for lots of Cotswold days out. We hope to return soon!
