„The lodge is located a bit higher than the neighbour lodges and therefore the view to the Holy Loch was excellent. Each morning during breakfast you see the see in onother shape or colour due to weather conditions. Of course, there was scotish weather but durtig rainy intervals the lodge was well equipped and the wlan works perfect. Thanks for the support.“

„Le lieu est trĂšs cocooning, le chalet agrĂ©able donne sur une trĂšs belle vue. Les accessoires de cuisine nĂ©cessiteraient un suivi. Quid de cet appareil avec compteur branchĂ© dans la cuisine dont nous n’avons pas obtenu la fonction auprĂšs du propriĂ©taire. Une camĂ©ra sur la terrasse.... Le point le plus gĂȘnant est l’enclavement du lieu qui nĂ©cessite de faire dĂ©jĂ  30’ de voiture sur une trĂšs belle mais trĂšs petite route avant de rejoindre un grand axe.“

„We stayed at Cockleshell Lodge for 10 days in November and had a fabulous time. The lodge is right on the waters edge and we would have paid for the view alone. It is absolutely stunning. There are dog walks straight from the lodge and no need to get the car ut all around the Ballimore Estate and we met the "Lady of the House" who told us some interesting facts about the estate. „Stunning location for a relaxing holiday. Spent a week here with 2 children (ages 6 and 2) and had a great time. Safe outdoor space for the children to play in and they loved feeding the owner's chickens nearby. 5 minute walk to a pebbled beach which was ideal for tiring them out in the evening. Lots to do locally and further afield in Oban. The cabin is clean, with everything you would need for a weeks stay.“

„The situation of the lodge is stunning, with rowan trees around the property. The weather wasn't good during our stay, but we didn't have to move from the sofa to get spectacular views out of the windows! There was a selection of books to read, which I made use of. The beds were very comfortable & the heating system was easy to use, except for the fact that the heating controls in the bathrooms were at floor level. Our only other minor criticism was that the deck was a little slippery in wet ...

"Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Zimmer gebucht: hier war zwar ein Sofa zum Sitzen, aber kein einziger KofferstĂ€nder. So mussten wir den Schreibtisch (leider kein Sessel) und das Beistelltischchen fĂŒr die Koffer verwenden. Schmales Bett, großes schönes, leider dunkles Badezimmer mit Dusche (nur Regenbrause, KEINE Handbrause) und Badewanne (mit Fernseher, wer so etwas braucht), sehr hellhörig: wir haben jeden Schritt vom Zimmer ĂŒber uns gehört, was sehr, sehr störend war!! FrĂŒhstĂŒck in Buffetform war in Ordnung, Essen im gemĂŒtlichem Lokal sehr lecker, sodass wir gleich an beiden Abenden hier gegessen haben!"
